The dividend is currently standing at 183.13p ( 100 prelim; 83.13 interim ). What's not to like at a 5.3% dividend yield!! Maybe the boss sees sense in not raising divindend as there will be falls in stock prices sometime over next 12months with bond market bubble forming, and interest rates rising. Though the $2bn buy back I see as a waste of time...

Isn't this going to have a direct hit to house prices over the longer term with polish, Slovakians, Kosovans, Romanians leaving U.K. Then the demand for housing is going to slow and house builders will have caught up with demand or maybe overtaken? Then we might be in another housing property crash??

Found this on my HL app for impending results Rolls-Royce, who will release half year results on Tuesday. Investor attention is more likely to fall on the commentary rather than the numbers themselves. 800p here we go

Fast think they released the news early to give people a better understanding of bad news that was to come today. As for big SP targets that is a sign that SP will go the opposite way. It just happened here... I hold GSK, AZN & JNJ.

i own 750 Rolls shares, and feel this growth story about improvements are going to take longer. I don't follow what brokers say as they are only thinking about one thing, their clients and their pockets. I can't believe the media allowridiculous target prices to be printed, they see a target of 540p in next 12mths. Anything is possible, but not 540p! GS not only published a target price of 1050p a couple of weeks ago.. weird..

I see Brent going down again to near $44 by weeks end... it's like a yoyo effect this year...

I read the fools.co.uk update on Iron Ore prices today in regards to Rio Tinto. I have held and added along the way RIO TINTO since 2009. Iron Ore prices are around $65 a tonne this week, but now Australia & South America are pumping Iron Ore into the market at low prices. Therefore could this be the year where we see the SP rise back above 4000-4500p due to wider profit margins for RIO, but then the reverse happening in 2018. Commodity cycles usually happen every 10yrs...
