Ano it's late, but just got to put it there. We all see the sp movements, nothing to shout about, but to receive the dividend every year. The future trend of the SP does not look rosy to me, with the FTSE up at another high, the DOWJsetting a new high etc, and the inevitably rise of the interest rates before years end will drag this down further, down below 200p easy... A drop of 5% and we're back to 200p.

Does anyone here own the Balfour Beatty 8% 2020 dated preference shares? My stockbroker advised me to sell back in 2014, but have proved him wrong for income purposes, maybe not price basis. When the interest rates are raised my understand the pref stock will decline. I'm wondering how badly it will fall?

In my opinion, DB are the worst stockbroker to follow, they downgrade all U.K. firms in favour of their own countries. Try following a proper brokerage I.e BARCLAYS or HSBC, none of this Eurotrash..

I agree char333 unless it's for a bid within 12month period. 270 is 23% increase, and remember that would raise the FTSE benchmark to further highs. Never going to happen in this environment. The highest Vodafone will go within 12months will be no higher than 245p max.

Sunset. My theory, you could sell and jump ship to BRWM which has a 5% dividend and will increase if miners keep growing. BRWM trades at a large discount to book value. I hold both of these..
