Rule of Thumb don’t touch stocks trading below 52week lows which GSK is. wait until after results Feb . You’ll thank me in long run. just watch it

On the matters of Dividend payout, i believe they are conserving cash by not increasing dividend much.
I also own OXY, XOM and BP, all have barerly increased.

This is evidence they know what is coming and preserving cash reserves for what’s your come ahead of us. don’t you agree?

i think the higher the target means they are helping there clients sell there low positions. Just saying as these high targets are never reached.

dividend is now back to where it was in GBP terms with $1.03 > £1 . wonder how further the £ might fall.

Just remember the story of AZN.
Pascal arrived and at first the market was not sure he could transform them when the SP was 2800-3200p.
He has been great as he has been given time.

Emma has had many headwinds not expected to contend with. She will eventually prove everyone wrong..

but look at EPS for previous 3 yrs, minus vaccines. It’s poor.

But as analysts suggest we could have a triple digit percentage improvement on EPS for 2022. I hope so, because we’re currently sitting at - EPS.

So, i ask, where do we see AZN in 2022?

Do we see earnings tripling ( so MS & Jefferies think), though.
EPS without vaccines, grew 23% upto February this year.
On this note, i think AZN can rebound from here and continue to outperform the FTSE.

Let’s hope come November 10/11th we get more good news while SP.

I’m tempted to rebuy some GSK since i sold last year before split.

Just for a minute think about the GBP conversion of 25c.
When it was 42c the FX was around $1.4-1.5? I believe we’re actually back to where we were before cut with 25c. The pound is doomed, so i’m not fussed as the divi is increasing every week that goes by.
I hold SHEL, BP, OXY, XOM and some BHP & RIO.

Thinking on top slicing SHEL if it hits £25 and move to XOM. $ terms i believe US stocks outperform UK equities far better.

i’d hold until US increase interest rates soon this month. That would the 3 interest rate rise FEDS had mentioned for 2022.
That will be the next drop in equities.
From there i can see a rise through to December.

SP should rise on good news of CEO direction, but for now see this dwindling lower.
It should hopefully outperform the FTSE on down days due to defensiveness

On the up this morning 5%, while oil up 1% not that it has much correlation, but i believe it’s the $ weakening today after the tremendous strength of late.

With energy costs rising, more so for business3s; a farmshop from Wakefield has had to close due annual energy bill going from £20k to £76k.

What impact is going to do to manufacturing now?

I’m not so sure this is a defensive play at all?
