CP I wonder just how many actually follow the DYOR principle? In fact there are times on both boards when I wonder if they know what the letters stand for? Tbh I should spread that across all the boards as it seems there are so many pick a number gamblers out there ;0))

Filter I think you should re read your post about facts! Where is the evidence to say that management have been slow over this? We actually have some about the time governmental approval takes. Besides that, do you honestly think a management deliberately sets out to shoot itself in the foot because that is what you are suggesting? I just don't see the BoD on a suicide mission

I don't disagree overall on the lack of news but any minor bad press on either seems to have a drag on the other and I don't feel it's been healthy for either company over the last year. The contradictions and slips deliberate or otherwise from NR caused uncertainty at times and it is uncertainty that destroys confidence. Yep for me a parting of the waves is needed

One thing I am fairly convinced of is that Aminex and Solo need to part company asap. As much as we've been good for each other in the past I think the link is dragging both shares down. Does anyone else feel the same?

Any fool can say what a dog and this is crap and that the sp will go down when there is no news. Most shares drift downwards in times of little perceived action. It's not rocket science but the reason for being here and holding on is whether you believe in the company or not. Some of us are just honest investors who are happy to wait for it to deliver.

As I said last week you have changed your tune lately and my guess is you sold and are now looking for a better re-entry, once you have your buy you will change your tune once more and begin the ramping. As for Destitute I see him as a shorter who is currently on the winning side and trying to turn the screw. He is just more obvious!

My thoughts were that with only gaining revenue of 11.5m its hardly likely we would owe TPDC the 5.75m I think the figure was?

As I said earlier we haven't been producing for that long 4th April 2016 and with revenues of 4.9m in 2016 & 6.6m in 2017 total 11.5m I find it hard to believe we owe the disputed figure based on that level of revenue?

From what I can pick up much of this fuss seems to be over the lack of taxes being paid and Pan African seems to be a big part of that. The loopholes they mention allowing companies to open bank accounts outside the country is raised because I assume they fear they are not able to keep track of the amounts of gas coming out of the ground which would not help them to collect what is due to them! I understood that KW was measured at the well and that TPDC were fully aware of our earnings so I can't really see where we would be involved in any underpayment of taxes.

Non the less we have covered in our questions relating to interdependencies "Do we have any political concerns over these investigations?" in reference to the ministerial investigations over contracts, so again it is something we should find out in a fortnights time.

We have also been told that the problem we have is down to an error which they can prove but it perhaps should have been sorted by now as it is still going to be a niggle until they do. (The sooner the better)

With the new laws that came in earlier this year allowing them to renegotiate unconscionable terms it seems to me that some officials over there are trying to be greedy and it is quite possible this matter is being used against us as a beating stick during negotiations.

It was only last week I responded to a post saying, why would we want to give our rig status information to the people on the other side of the negotiating table (government) The board do have to be very careful in complex multi party negotiations such as these but like Pete says, hiding behind the TPDC cloak is wearing very thin

We've reached the deadline you spoke of then Pete but I'm really not sure why some expected it other than wishful thinking. They did put it out that discussions are expected to conclude early H2 the message was quite clear there. I was hoping for it to be sorted and tagged on but when you posted about the deadline the other week then that effectively killed that hope. Best I think we can hope for before the AGM now is rig news but I'll not hold my breath

Jonah I'm afraid the confidence thing is just an excuse. They simply had a drill that failed and that happens to all exploration companies, it results in the short term 10%ers pulling out until the next drill. They have another 21 drill ready wells to go at and as they come online the sp will rise. The RNS this morning gave us nothing that wasn't expected and was just a confirmation that all is going to plan. That is confidence building not confidence sapping and when the next spud is announced the sp will start building again. For me having done my research, this is a time to be building a holding and not fretting about it but to feel the way I do comes down to the old saying "DYOR"
