Me too Cadell I added over the last day or two , bunt many here bought into Nick as much as anything and on that basis , given the lack of clarity, you can understand their decision

Just my view but I think it’s more a question of just putting a lid on it .... free to move below that but we have bumped our heads several times in the upper 30’s

There have pretty well been blockers there for months ( 39p upwards) ..... clearly it has been important that we stay in this range for whatever reason. It’s almost as if any offer that May materialise now will look more inflated than it would had we been more able to move freely .... just something I’ve been wondering for a while .
So an offer of say 75p now is a good 100% premium to our current share price and therefore clearly attractive to many , had we been at ( what many may consider) a more reasonable level now say 50-55p this offer probably wouldn’t turn many heads

I agree that kind of offer wouldn’t be accepted, for a start I think NCM and CGP would want more , not to mention Nick and plenty of pi’s ..... it’s not that way to walk away with something like this for peanuts.
However I do think yesterday’s news signalled the beginning of the end game .

That was my (very basic) point , if CGP were not interested in our offer based on price , they must be expecting to do better in the future. They must have sought assurances that they were not going to be diluted into oblivion as Cascabel is by far and away the best thing they have in their portfolio.
I hate saying it , but I may even have to pay attention next time Irwin comments on Solgold.
Hopefully the company has a clear path marked going forward and we won’t be kept in the dark too much longer

By the way. I don’t think they were .... they probably have a better idea of what’s coming than the rest of us put together

The fact remains that CGP, out of hand turned down Solg’s offer to take them out , the inference being it was way under value ..... we’re they suckered in by the big boys ?

Totally agree with that .... CGP also turned down Solgold’s offer to buy them because they thought it was derogatory.... they are clearly expecting a lot more as well

FTJNY .... I suspect that this isn’t the news that’s been holding back the regional updates and it is something to do with funding moving forward, hence passing up the 50m from FNV .
Let’s hope it’s a good deal that was Nick’s swan song rather than something he resigned in protest to ... hopefully we’ll find out soon

Not sure the market knows how to take the news here .... on this board alone some have sold and some have increased their holding .... pretty clear this news was meant to be released later .
