This is why (maybe) they have come , finally to accept we cannot do this on our own , hence the recent conciliatory message to BHP the passing up of Franco’s money and Nick’s stepping aside ... not that I think BHP are the only game in town if we are looking to achieve decent value

Agreed FT but considering Tan is just beginning, it might be a while .... don’t consider this a problem at all personally. Apparently the newly formed Alpala/ Cascabel (can’t remember which)committee is on schedule to report back this month. I’m pretty sure they already know how it’s going to move forward and under whose banner

All we can do is speculate right now but the facts we do know help to draw a picture here
Franco money passed up even though drilling campaigns in full swing.
NM has demonstrated how easy it is to raise from elsewhere if needed.
All regional updates temporarily on hold.
None of the big players seemingly have any intention of relinquishing their shares.
Biggest tier one copper/gold discovery for years and only one not in the hands of the majors ..... yet
CEO who wanted to keep it that way now gone .
It’s game on here and I have never been more confident in my investment.

BN .... was nothing pre arranged was just offered the video call with Eliza and Fawsi ..... very informal but clearly not going to answer anything they shouldn’t, which is in itself reassuring. Speak to them I’m sure they’ll confirm and offer you the same chance if you wish

When I spoke to them yesterday I pushed them about the lack of drilling results and updates .
They said they were no longer going hole by hole as there was so much going on and the releases going forward would group several drills together .... not sure I’m buying that, something changed after the AGM

Thanks .... was invited to ask questions, wasn’t expecting to be there solo with just the two IR reps but very grateful for the opportunity.
I knew something was up when I was chatting to Nick the other night and he said he’d have to copy in the chairman??
All looking good here from my perspective but the most telling thing I gleaned from this was the fact that the PI’s votes were so important despite Nick’s subsequent retirement...... maybe he got the deal he wanted before he stepped down?

I just spent 20 minutes on a video call to Eliza & Fawzi.
I asked a few questions and the very kindly answered as best as they were able .
The main points I picked up are as follows.
Nick himself has come to realise that though his exploration skills are unquestioned, he was not the man to take this forward to production.
The support of the PI’s at the AGM was however hugely important..... make of that what you will.
News has been streamlined as with so many drill currently underway they can no longer go hole by hole .... they both seemed very excited about the current drilling programme.
When I asked if Rio was underway the answer was basically “ you can read all about it in the upcoming quarterly DMA”..... again delivered with a very big smile.
The Alpala committee still on track to deliver their report to the board by the end of this month.
They seemed highly motivated to interact with private investors and I got the feeling they would have said plenty more were they able.
The company is clearly bemused by the lack of value attributed to our assets at present , but fully focused on maximising value for all shareholders as we move forward.
Personally I’m pleased to stay invested here and add as and when funds allow ..... sorry nothing more specific but in a way that’s a very good sign of a professionally run outfit .
