That is the Government gamble at the moment Ash. At the outset their inclination was for herd immunity before the damage limitation exercises started. Their mindset is not really taking the best possible action against covid but the best acceptable course keeping bills down after spending unwisely and falling short of a winning strategy like most countries.

The Government haven't said anything except masks and distancing may be extended post 21/6 and step up rhetoric on jabbing. They don't see testing and T&T (I never thought the latter would work) as defeating spread and seem to be exercising a cover up on the Indian variant in schools. It is ignorant behaviour not to educate more. I am sure lots of testing will be done but without breakout locations buying in to testing with government pitching in strongly the virus will spread and vaccines are not a catch all solution.
The Indian variant will, if it goes viral, be very good coinciding with our roll out and if AffiDX is proven in practice PD are going to have a very red face.

They bend the rules on consumer use over there I have read on this board, just as we have copied, allowing HMG to use Innova by post to home. Maybe that will help home use in EU otherwise it will be the same MHRA procedure for individual countries. Professional use will be OK

Da Doo had this reply at 14.36 The UKCA/CE marking of such professional tests requires a self-declaration process undertaken by the manufacturer with no review of performance data by any EU Government Body or Notified Body and that MHRA does not approve such products.

It can approve a product for the home market. UKCA will be our route to equivalence with CE mark when vetting procedures are agreed with the EU.

We don't need CE mark if MHRA come through as Mologic's ISO combined with Mologic CE/CV will be adequate what we are lacking and deserve is AS telling us the various routes to market and stages hit. It is his job to negotiate that and state clearly to the rank and file what the plan is.

MHRA will only allow for professional sales which HMG can get round by supervising a test. ISO which Mologic have provided for MHRA does not permit commercial sales (orders) for AVCT but only orders from HMG. When ISO rns drops the commercial sales with added margin will start. All IMO

Seems Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency check the CE/CV and ISO 13485 of manufacturer and everything else about the device as submitted by the developer before it can go on the shelf. Professional use has its own insurance policy so not so stringent.

AS has also done well in years of scientific presentations/collaborations(aswell as his LFD/gov collaboration) which I hope will bear results as we need it to feed the other side of AVCT.

HMG can transfer IP within the consortium so can call the test AffiDX for the paperwork to be in place even before we have ISO for AVCT because HMG orders can be deemed supervised.
