Buyback must be a message to MMs and PIs that the company is on the up and playing games with the upside is the right strategy. A big proportion of shares are held by PIs and AVCT want to steer in as calmer sea as possible until some of the potential is realised in another inflection point.

It is a very good account of the Innova saga by scaredy but the draft legislation must surely just be to get the DHSC out of a tricky corner and they are surely willing to move on to a better test especially if they are allowed this leeway in the rules to smooth over past errors. Kicking up a stink I hope will not backfire. I hate to see money wasted but I am sure the Innova test had some utility, even if just to prepare the testing scene going forward. The public are in the picture testing procedures now and the DHSC are about to slot in a better test.

Was Affyxell set up as an idea/venture by Daewoong and AVCT specifically for AVCT to draw in more interest for affimer tech and future licence use of affimers. It is all extra for as AVCT want big pharma to take up the tech. Dilution was inevitable if drug development is to proceed unless AVCT have the LFT cash to inject. 12% represents a bigger capital amount than was used to launch so we have held our corner well.

The tone of the presentation was more business like. AS has had to put down his test tube and the process of exciting developments he can enthuse on and instead try and explain the commercialisation and regulatory hurdles; all of which is new territory for him but actually the essence of business. He is tackling it though, hence the more realistic bruised post battle AS.

Supports my view too. PCR just gets lucky with calling cases infectious, the gold standard for finding the infectious is LFTs. PCR seems worse than Innova in this study iro specificity but no study has been done with LFTs as control for isolation as deemed too inaccurate. Two consecutive negative repeat LFT tests should release the isolated and we have to move out of lockdown with this strategy to control outbreaks otherwise it will another evolving farce.

The company the gov could not control and sold tests in the US has brought down the scale of consortium ambition. Can Matt H please explain why AffiDX was held back from a fast track to market as it was unlikely to bring the consortium down but your contracts with Innova allowed them to sell stock anywhere with dubious approvals and an ambitious project integral to the consortium is therefore tarnished and the projected consortium sales reduced. Have domestic producers been held back while Huang? of Innova creamed it.

Brexit means we have to cut through procedures built up over 50 years and that have given us Roche's cobas 6800 at PD and an accepted protocol that left AffiDX on the starting line. You have to break/change the rules to get anything done. Vaccines are out because rules were broken, so was Innova test. If AS had aimed for EUA we would have an in use test to gauge efficacy. If it is no good in use I want to move on with my investment.

.....and those imo in the infectious stage are only considered to be negative by a pcr test- pcr has never had their results scientifically proven. Head to head with AffiDX in an outbreak would be very interesting where you have either one or the other test and those results followed up with outcomes. It might be a statistical nightmare but r rate could be the best measure in the head to head assuming all positives are isolated.

Someone posted AffiDX had EUA so why wasn't it progressed. BJ via Cummings' accounts says he was swearing about Matt H and the consortium, Innova got the temporary solution on the market and BJ thought we would quickly take over. There will be a situation whereby private enterprise and family units protecting themselves with LFT negative tests become beacons of covid free living (when there is a decent test available). It will then become a bit like George Orwell's 1984 only it will be the successful, clean, virus free who will rule the land. Well, something like that should help sell the test as a useful pandemic control.
