Since Labour came into power, the pledge of 300,000 additional homes a year has fallen well short of targets. The latest official statistics show a net addition of 342,100 homes between 9 July 2024 and 15 March 2026 — an average of around 170,000 a year, far below the promised target.

Current delivery is also below the levels achieved under the previous government in most years since 2020. This isn’t growth — it’s stagnation.

Well any party has to be better than the Labour Party we have at the moment. Let’s see what they have to offer compared to a failed current incumbent who has a leader on the brink of going.

I seem to remember reading an article not that long ago when this was being talked about, that if the EU allowed the UK to join, which would involve a fee, it would still not guarantee any contracts would come to the UK.

So we know how this will end up and it won’t help the bottom line for our GDP.
