Trading update last year was 18th April. I think we’ll have a much clearer view by mid April, 2-3 weeks away. Current average broker forecast is £6.83 but if we have good results then this could well go higher.
Time will tell, a little patience needed. I’m positive though, I think all airlines are increasing margins quite a lot this year based on prices I have seen……
Well at a P/E of 10, that would suggest a hefty rise in share price up to that average broker forecast of £19. That would be very welcome! Who forecast £1.92??
Shouldn’t we be celebrating the short position? Since the trade appears to have worked against them, they will be obliged to buy back the shares in a rising market. Wouldn’t that drive the price even higher?
Or have I missed something?

Frustratingly, this recent article may give some insight.
A very positive update and a nice reaction in the share price. The whole travel sector is responding well too.
Wow, how alarming…inflation figures are so unpredictabl, I wonder what will happen?
Oh, hold on, apparently there are loads of forecasts available on google! January rate of 4% likely to increase to 4.1% 9due to stronger airline prices which typically drop in January but haven’t this year) and will then drop to about 3.6% in March.
Doesn’t feel to me like any of that is bad news for the travel sector shares….
My quick calculation is we need to be around £5.80 at the moment to get inside the top 90 and therefore gain entry. That said, I have no idea how much the share price will change because of it. There will be ftse100 funds needing to buy and ftse250 funds needing to sell.
Does anyone have any info on what’s happened to other companies who gain entry?
I suspect not. Last years update was centred around communicating an expected profit outside of forecast, so needed to be done. If current forecast is in line with projections then they will wait until the end of April to give year end (to 31st March) update.
Nice report here on customer service.

I prefer the review immediately below it. I think they’ll use EasyJet again. Your complainer clearly doesn’t believe in reading information/travel much if they thought they could just turn up with a suitcase they hadn’t paid for…..
Bloomberg TV suggesting the $20bn spend on aircraft was weighing things down at first glance this morning but analyst now looking at dividend and forecast profit per sear up from £7 to £10 which is reversing the initial 4% drop to only 1% down now…..let’s see how this plays out today!
There is on this website! I could have been clearer….

Nutmeg,
Poor reviews can give individuals insight if there are numerous alternatives to select. There are also plenty of happy customers who have rated them and millions who have travelled and left no review.
I’m interested to know who you think are the alternative providers you believe unhappy easyJet customers will choose to fly with instead?
