what's happening now live on French TV, is most party leaders who are totally opposed to the ex-Front National leader candidates, are declaring that we must "faire barrage" or block all RN candidates, wherever possible ? This means in action, that all the 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc, candidates withdraw from the 2nd round & call on their voters to vote for whomever is against the RN.

Also, the Presidency was never at risk, unless Macron chooses to resign & calls a Presidential election. I believe this is highly unlikely in the current circumstances, unless the RN is very well out voted. Note, the Presidency, is in charge of all foreign policy, etc, etc.

So, far the best electoral day ever for the RN, but 35% is very far being 51%.

a big day in France today, but this Monday/Tuesday are not yet the decisive political days, that will be the following Mon/Tue after the 2nd vote round. Living in France on & off for 25+ yrs & permanently in recent years, I am well exposed to the political push & pull.

Today is only the first round of the vote & only the first 2 candidates go into the 2nd round, with exceptions (occasionally third & very rare forth placed with 12.5+% plus of the vote.

It would appear (or generally did before) that the casual left to extreme left would prefer to vote for Macron, than allow the extreme right gain power. Likewise, the casual right to the extreme right would also vote for Macron candidates, than allow the extreme left to gain power.

Macron is maybe a political genius or idiot (peut etre les deux), we will know all next week !!!

Einstein Ryan is only stepping down as Green party leader (so far), a position he has been closely challenged on, for years by his Deputy Leader, Catherine Martin . He remains a TD, member of cabinet & the minister of the Environment (DECC) until the next election. Should he also stand down as TD, his portfolio would be re-allocated to another (equally bad) Green TD, as that is the agreement in their 3 party 5 yr program for government.

Additionally, some might want also to re-watch the TD Tools test video, see "Watch SFP Test", stop it at 40 secs & read the triple string dimensions & enjoy the roar from 3 minutes on :-) I have also seen/read? that perforating pressure can be increased by 20/30 % if encountering a very stubborn zone, though increased risks & wear to equipment/people/etc. And perforating can also extend to 30 mins, if necessary.

My thoughts are the risks are mostly equipment, operational & tactical, a 3000-5000 psi abrasive water jet, after cutting through 2 cemented steel casings, should have no trouble perforating deeply into hardened drilling mud, especially with lots of high pressure gas in the sands bursting to get out. Looking again at the possible Mega Pad (TM) for the Titanosaur drill into the Jurassic, I see that another equal sized 2 hectare site, was rough cleared from scrub land directly opposite it, work clearly seen by satellite from 7 - 22 May. Strange occurrence to see 2 x 2 hectare site scrub clearances & not be for commercial reasons.

I see 95.6% of todays TUI trades are in € in Frankfurt, for from the old 23%/77% shares listed. Steady wind down in London trading before the delisting/transfer to the Zetra Dax exchange at months end. Somewhat odd to see UBS raising the price target today to 700 p.
