Tesla and statistics13 Jan 2021 12:23
As you will all know Tesla does not advertise it's products or services. Competitors spend vast amounts on advertising (in USA I understand vehicle makers spend around 1000 dollars per car they sell on advertising), The media generally makes money from advertisements so they are easily manipulated by big spenders such as Auto Manufacturers and big Oil Companies.
So reported statistics for Tesla may not be all that we would wish for they may have been be very carefully cherry picked and possibly not even be true. Remember all the stuff that got media attention crashes when auto pilot was engaged and Teslas bursting into flames and there being no demand for Teslas. Didn't someone say "There are lies, damned lies and staistics" one of my old bosses used to say "statistics are like an old cast iron gas lamp posts, very comforting to lean on, but it does not shed much light o the situation."
