Could this be delayed further... presumably, at the end of 90 days they then go out to the patients and complete the questionnaires? This could take some days/weeks. If this logic of not introducing bias is correct, surely they couldn't announce top line 35 day data until these questionnaires and data have been collected?

I've just counted on my fingers and thumbs and get day 90 as Tuesday. So maybe Wednesday onwards by the new logic.

Of course, LPD could have started a day or two earlier than the RNS on the 11/11/21... so Monday could still be in play, LOL!

Apologies, a final question.

If indeed waiting for 90 days to pass so as to not bias anything else, I assume we would be ready to announce quite literally on Tuesday at 7am?

I can see the logic for now waiting till 90 days have passed. But how did we all miss this potential scenario back in November, when LPD was announced, that this could have been the case?

Also, are there any examples of trials that have done exactly this... waited till 90 days have passed before publishing day 35 data analysis?

Have to echo HSD's post...

"Day 35 data will be reported in the first instance followed by the long COVID results which will be collected until Day 90."

They received day 35 data no later than 15th December. That's over 7 weeks... 52 days of teams of people poring over the data. That seems plenty of time to publish "top line" data? Obviously not, because it's still not with us. But for those constantly criticising the "January clubs" or that we are being impatient, politely put a sock in it.

And if things have changed and they are now waiting for 90 day data, they should update us accordingly. But IMO I can't see them waiting for 90 day data... as mentioned below, that will presumably take even longer to analyse and we would be mid Summer (UK summer!).

Matml74, I agree. One such poster (I can’t recall the name) was comparing us to a FTSE100 pharma and how they ran recruitment.

I wonder how long the interview process will take now they presumably have the potential candidates. And if they will wait to actually make the job offers before RNS’ing so they can say everything is in place and ready to go? That would probably mean sitting on an RNS and so would seem unlikely.

There were some members on here saying SNG can put job adverts out, but that it didn’t necessarily mean they would fill those positions, and so we shouldn’t read to much into them.

Does this allay those concerns and show that they will indeed fill these positions? It’s certainly how I read it.

Just keeping my feet on the ground here and playing Devil’s advocate, but when it says “NIAID will support the development and clinical evaluation”… could that not just mean sponsoring the trials which they have already done and then evaluating its potential usefulness and efficacy?

Happy to be shot down here in a million bits if it does indeed mean they will be putting orders in and stockpiling SNG.

I don't think SNG releasing results now would be too soon. Sure, they might not be late, but even if they arrived in the next 5 minutes we couldn't say SNG released them early!

I could do everyone else a favour and try and day trade SNG… all I’d have to do is sell now and 5 minutes later the RNS would arrive! :D

Skippy - Matterhorn and Skeletor have both given very good reasoned arguments for why they consider the results now late.

Ndn71 and others can argue all they want as to why they believe they are not late but I think back on 11th November when we had LPR, the majority of posters would have said we would have results in January. RM wisely has given them some leeway by using "early 2022" which is open to interpretation, rather than a specific month.

Skeletor, I think you have hit the nail on the head with those three scenarios. I'm very hopeful it is the first, but it could still be any of them.

The steady decline this morning I’m sure is partly another little tree shake but also some impatient, investors getting bored with the wait. Expect more of this between now and results.

Businesses always have to take on a certain degree of risk. Call it 90% complete.., they can make a calculated/educated decisions to strike agreements with other companies. Indeed, they already have.

You sometimes are confused why posters can’t debate sensibly with you. Your last comment doesn’t help your cause. We’re debating politely, then you drop in a condescending line at the end.
