I wish nothing more than this test being used all the time and it has massive potential. I’m invested so I agree we are onto an amazing thing. I just think the amount of tests some people think will be needed are over exaggerated. Let’s take aircraft again for example, Mr Spacetomato claims that the air is recycled and that will spread the disease, that’s not true. Planes have recirculation fans granted, however the air that goes through these fans is also sent through hospital theatre grade HEPA filters that trap 99.9% of bacteria including corona viruses. Also the air on a plane, even with recirc fans operating, is completely refreshed every 3-5 minutes! An air conditioned building is 10-12 minutes. The only way the virus will be passed on during air travel is via the usual less than two metres or touching surfaces etc. That’s why PPE is required to clean and protect. Things like only using one toilet between a certain group of passengers by cabin or row etc is in the framework being drawn up. There are testing facilities being created at airports as we speak and testing will be done but I can’t see lines of people waiting to be tested before a flight. The way some people are speaking people might end up taking three tests a day just to do different activities. If I’m wrong I’ll hold my hands up and be thankful that my shares are worth more than I though possible.
For most industries i see maybe weekly tests for staff at high risk and having close contact with customers. Track and trace will be the governments main way of controlling the virus going forward. By the time logistically we have the ability to produce all the tests for all the industries for all the countries people are talking about, a vaccine will be available. Most people will have the vaccine, some won’t. Most will.
PL, JR. I work in aviation and I highly highly doubt every passenger will be subject to a 15 minute test pre flight. Airlines just won’t go for it unless it is mandated by a body such as ICAO. There is a framework for PPE being drawn up and I think that’s where it stops. Passengers will fly again regardless so if PL chooses not to he can sit on his own. No public transport or bars etc for you either then?
Dentists testing everyday - probably more possibility but I just don’t see it. I agree the market is still massive but some people are going into a dream world with this. Even modest population testing will reap big rewards hence my holding here.
I’m a holder here but you’re all sounding a bit crazy to suggest every passenger on a plane will be tested or a dentist 5 times a week. Yes I’m sure these tests will be used but much more realistic use is aircrew (not passengers) get a test and dentists/GPs maybe weekly. Airlines won’t pay for the test, PPE will be the barrier, and to test professions daily will never be used. There will be huge demand regardless but there are some people living in a dream world. Let’s speak about a £100billion market cap at the same time! I’ve got great faith in Avacta and if it’s successful I, like many others, will profit well. Let’s keep our expectations realistic though.
I’ve watch Dart Group shares for quite a while. They had a large placing around the 500 mark to raise £172million. The placing was over subscribed and completed in two days - the share price rocketed after it! Such demand showed great promise was what I concluded. I can’t say that this will go the same way but if the whole pipeline of products and announcements is correct, plus an over subscribed placing.....
Fingers crossed as I’m heavily invested here. Two tranches with the second at 174p!

Why post a cryptic message and then say do your own research? Surely a bulletin board is a way of spreading info.
Looks like the rapid one is still used on a speacialist machine

Thanks for the info, certainly a rollercoaster of a day!
Hi Elon,
Could you explain to a relatively newbie how that late trade and price difference is possible? Seems strange to see that unless it’s a late reported trade? Cheers
My question was answered on another thread as I wrote that!
May I ask who forces a company to clarify or retract statements via an RNS? Are there regulators who look into this sort of thing? Could it be ODX we’re forced to issue this statement even though something is brewing? I hope so as I was £7k up in half a day and back down the same amount in an hour! Many others would have had significantly more. Gutted for all the holders over the past weeks and months.
I see. Cheers
Are these spikes downwards manipulations of the market to expose stop losses? They seem huge and rapid. How can that even be possible?
Thanks for the info. Lots to mull over there. Short term as the whole retail industry has a bounce as lockdown lifts, I think this will do well, but for reasons you state I don’t think this is a long term bet. I think I will buy a modest amount but I won’t be putting my life savings in. Cheers
I’ve followed this share for a little while and on the face of it, it seems like there is a lot of value to be had and potential for a fairly quick increase. I’m very interested in getting involved but I can also see that before the current crisis there were signs there were problems, not least a sharp recent 25% drop (pre Covid). A poor Christmas over a period where this company should be strong was worrying but whilst it most likely will not hit the previous highs, surely 60p has got to be achievable as the lockdown comes to and end. What are others thoughts on this?
Not looking for clever remarks, just trying to gain more info. Thanks all
