Just read an article in the independent from December. The federal government sent out 100million PCR tests in December but they were not used or reported on in a consistent fashion. Our output will be absorbed in to this without so much as a bat of an eyelid. So many places will be tested repeatedly for a long time. Over 100,000 tests per day wont touch the sides. Government and state level contracts could easily be possible at which point all bets are off.

he can and he has!!! LOL. Is i t really so hard to believe though? BC will have been lining up sales for a long time. The product is better than the competition so why would it not sell?
I imagine once the ink is dry on the Democrats relief package there will be some big orders confirmed for our test.

just seen on twitter over 1 million sold and next batch ready to go...... apparently. But why not? BC are huge in the US with a massive client network why would they not achieve big figures if the test is as cost effective and simple to use??

i dont think there is any exclusivity between machines and tests but i think the maximum output is a Biomek and GD bead combination. What i cant ascertain is whether or not our assay is price competitive to others in the market. If it is why would you not use it? Its a UK company providing cutting edge tech, its part of the brief to support an develop these companies.

looks like the Democrats plan is inching forward, if the US starts to ramp up then our output will easily be absorbed in to the total requirement. As for the UK i can see the GD POC system being used heavily as patients are routinely tested as a matter of course to prevent further outbreaks, the amount of places where that technology could be used is also vast.

I read on here that BC had supplied Biomeks to the government, but these tips etc , these are the things our assay is meant to negate are they not ?

No as it's not nearly as effective as Moderna or Pfeizer and testing is going ahead as a massive effort to prevent mutation. Do you know what % of the worlds population have been vaccinated? They think the EU wont get its population vaccinated until 2023.

i imagine that with the potential for mutations that international travel will require no room for error when diagnosing for Covid, remember the vaccines are not 100% effective at preventing transmission so you can still carry and transmit, particularly in a confined space over a long length of time like a flight. I imagine airports are desperate for a reliable and quick solution to this conundrum.

It seems to me that certainly in our government and in the US the plan is to run this virus down to the last case, the danger being a mutation beyond the reach of our current vaccination programs and bear in mind that has to be a global effort, not just a handful of western countries. So testing anybody who so much as shows a sniffle will be the order of the day for sometime. We cannot afford for a mutation to spread and shut down the world economy again.

Northeast I was looking this up at 3 this morning!! I suspect there will be orders sitting on the sidelines pending this outcome. No reagents etc. Its a no brainer test for a lab looking to do high throughput testing to make a lot of money. A nice slice of the UK market and we are set. That may become clear this week as well. Maybe a little political pressure now to confirm FDA approval but its academic really. RNS would be nice, i'm spiked here so some good news to wake the market up to the reality of the opportunity here would be most welcome.

that's great news there will be a lot of labs and institutions who now know where the testing budget is coming from, our capacity will easily be absorbed in this.
