yes that is a possibility, more to the point it points to the Government having identified a test that it wishes Omega to produce in volumes on their behalf. Although the test is hardly complicated to use i cant see how much more difficult it could possibly be.

You answered your own question, the numbers in relation to government spending are insignificant in order to have the capacity and a working proven supply chain.
Free LFTS are for the general population. Going forward the NHS, all civil servants, Ambulance Service, Police, Armed Forces and on and on will all need regular testing on the governments slate. Why would you pay money to keep a facility sat idle when you require what they produce?

Shrewd is not to take for fools the people who have the keys to your future in their hands. At some stage the Uk will have to have its own capacity but without running the machines and producing the tests you are unprepared. Therefore there has to be orders. The pandemic has shown what untested theoretical systems are good for, nothing. Tried and stress tested systems are what's required.

So Colin is employing all those people and making them relocate to Alva on a wing and a prayer, I would imagine that if there is no DHSC contract then all those people will be pretty livid at being duped so Colin can steal 18%. I imagine the broader community around Alva will wonder who and what kind of man does that? The people who are renting accommodation to all these new staff will be pretty ****ed off as well.
