Im pretty convinced blanca being partly in ensa is why its not further down the line.
Interesting discussion today. Im now swaying to the idea a JV is BHPs best chance of being part of the party. But who knows

Agree Bobby
I'm annoyed this morning as had bought into the idea they'd act better than this.
Expected a raise further down the line at a higher share price rather than mates rates.
Still money in the bank though so won't have to talk about day to day funding for a few months at least.
Anyone know who's bought in?
Genuine question on NCM and BHP. Do they get on?
The only way I see a low bid being accepted or the board removed is if they work together.
I'm not convinced NCM really want to open the door for a low ball offer from BHP and let them take the prize. Seems a daft strategy to me.
So leaves the question of a JV.... is this likely?
I think cornerstone are thinking they're being clever which is probably the most dangerous thing they can do as I'm sure the majors will grind them into the ground if they got hold of solg.
Cornerstone just want to be bought out and probably by BHP who could then try and take out Solg with their added holding. I'm not sure if they have enough even with Newcrest and other large holders on their side?
I think the best route for maximum value for cornerstone holders is to accept SOLGs offer and then hope for an overall sale. I know there are some egos at play but do they believe they'd get a premium selling to BHP soon over being part of the overall SOLG portfolio and being sold then?
Since BHP have got on board I think the best Newcrest could have hoped for is a JV. I think they're upset they cant apply their screw the small company over strategy.
I'm sure cornerstone just want a sale of ensa. So are miffed that it's looking less likely with the moves NM is trying.
Good old Irwin on twitter;
@SolGold_plc $solg.ln Albert Einstein is widely credited with saying, "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results."
If I was a CGP shareholder I'd seriously like to know how funding costs would be met without a vulture such as the big players diluting the hell out of my holding for the cash.
Interesting times

$SOLG.LN @SolGold_plc Yes, I too am confused why it took Solgold 17 months to formalize their hostile, mean-spirited take-over bid of Cornerstone that was rejected on March 8th last year. Does this help explain why I am not a fan of Nick Mather?
I think NM believes he can!
I'm not so sure NM is that interested in keeping either NCM or BHP happy. And why would he? After all those two will only be happy getting cheap access.
The recent small flip in was clearly aimed at diluting them a bit.. probably calculated as enough to protect the company over a hostile takeover. The price did annoy me but can see why it was done.
I'm sure NM is confident of funding this without BHP or NCM.. we shall see and it might be that BHP do join in but on less favourable terms.
