Great Expectations21 Sep 2021 17:33
I’m always open to opinions from those who share views on SYME, whether upbeat or defamatory. Some have opaque agendas others wear their heart on their sleeve. Both lay open the door to strongly opinionated posts. like it or not, it’s been a great share for traders over the year.
I see SYME as a relatively new business developing a much-needed approach to the rapidly changing world of finance. Large companies are now bypassing the banking system in favour of data rich related digital transactions outside the heavily regulated banking sector.
Any new company offering an alternative in any sector will always be viewed with scepticism and have a volatile period until a trading history has been established. SYME is not exempt.
The progressive movements towards a fully functional model including accounting, funding and acquisitions have influenced the SP this year.
Tradeflow is good news, especially with a year on year 30% growth record, but it’s common for instant Great Expectations to be snuffed out. Usually instigated by those who panic. It’s a tuff lesson in emotion vs rational trading.
In support of SYME we have been informed of changes to the trading model, achievable goals and to some degree timescales.
I have mentioned on previous posts (removed) and confirmed by AZ. The new asset class has taken longer than expected but is on schedule for completion within this financial year. Again, overlooked but crucial to give structure and confidence to those funding IM’S.
I’m not too concerned if or not Syme confirms a small number of IM’S from current financial facilities. The real move will be when the model structure is complete giving SYME a fully scalable global market presence.
The indications from historical RNS and QAs as per my own interpretation is a fully functional platform should be up and running in H1 2022 in line with monitoring partnerships.
Note: Health, inflation, Commodity supplies and market rates will all play a part with SYME progress, as it does with the markets.
I’m not going to speculate on the future SP but I am prepared for a rough ride this winter as with all my investments.
I remain interested, invested and resolute.
Wishing all the best of health regardless of your stance.
