Today’s news from Seres Therapeutics will significantly increase investor appetite in the U.S.

With funding in place for four key data points between now and Q1 2021, at which point the US listing will come into play and the ball will now pick up pace.

I will continue to build a position here on any dips but I personally think that the Americans have already pressed the button and started accumulating this afternoon based on today’s news across the pond.

Sentiment and momentum just switched.

I think a manufacturing agreement for Traumakine will come next. Imagine an agreement with Pfizer or Merck. This would bring serious attention to the treatment.

Another potential remdesivir partner is the antirheumatic drug baricitinib, from the laboratories of Eli Lilly under the brand name Olumiant. Experts are still awaiting data, which won’t be available for the next month or so. If results are promising, then baricitinib will also undergo the same trial with interferon.

Results on the latter are expected within the next 2 months.

This is another study/treatment that will be trialed alongside interferon. What we are seeing is a common theme whereby the combination drugs are more often than not being trialed alongside IFN-B1a.

Interesting that Pfizer is making Remdisiver for Giliad without completion of the solidarity trial.

For Remdisiver and IFN-B to be used in forever expanding trials globally, I think we can take a lot of confidence from this.

How long might it be before the EU announce a similar deal for Traumakine, especially following the state of the art expansion of production to meet potential commercial demand.

Rebif is part of the solidarity trial, in addition to Traumakine. So we have the injection and intravenous IFN-B under review.

Involving Remdesivir and IFN-B1a, (Giliad and Merck).

Interferon is gaining massive traction right now and for good reason, for me it proves the concept that the solidarity trial are likely using this as a combination treatment also as well as a sole treatment.

We know that Rebif is administered via injection as per my previous post and that intravenous delivery is the way forward for ICU patients.

With this additional coverage this evening we will likely see additional emphasis on the solidarity trial and if they identify the treatment by name, Traumakine, fireworks begin.

It is more probable that we will see a deal for Clevergen via a partner. It’s true to say that big Pharma are out to spend money and AZN deal today with Redx follows a nice deal with SLN. Those types of licensing deals that also aim to fund phase III imo are more probable.

Unfortunately the FDA only requires a vaccine to have 50% efficacy. It’s better than nothing, but at the same time, how frequently will the vaccine need to be administered.

We also know that Rebif is administered via injection which according to Farn, and in the process of being peer reviewed is a less effective process of administration to fight the virus.

I have become embroiled in the research of interferon beta and I am way out of my depth, so I am keen to learn.

We were told to expect an update on the new state of the art manufacturing process for manufacturing Interferon. I believe the outcome of this could mark a significant rerating and increased attention.

Of the 5 drugs that were being independently verified in the solidarity trial results, only Remdisivir and interferon beta (Traumakine) remain.

I hope you are right Dan, with how under the radar this stock has been in terms of volume and forum activity. I just can’t believe that with us being one of only two treatments in the WHO trial receiving global attention and all the other trials we have on top of the cancer treatment. It should and will get a lot busier when our time comes.

If that time comes, I will buy more and hold for the medium to long term. The market cap is laughable with what other valuations you are seeing in the market.

If this news is positive you can only imagine the squeeze with the low float and strong shareholder register.

I can find so many articles that justify the use of IFN-B. I struggle to find any that suggest otherwise. I am still of the opinion that IFN-B will be used as a combination treatment, at this point alongside Remdisivir.

IFN-B1a injection - positive outcome

The present study thus shows that there is an increase in the number of patients discharged by day 14, the mortality rate by day 28, and a more significant benefit to early initiation of IFN therapy. While there were some side-effects, IFN was well tolerated.

Of course this study into IFN-B1a was injected and therefore, when taking into consideration the ‘competing interests’ on the previously attached article which is an extremely important consideration as you say N, it is comforting to know why the WHO/REMAP trials has chosen traumakine above all others.
