They seem pretty confident with the wells on WS, West Shalva area:- 25sq Km in the Zhetybay Steppe oil producing region Mangyshlak, Appraisal licence until 2029 $15m to be paid in 3 tranches, owned by CS energy, CS Energy is wholly owned by Altynbek Bolatzhan. In 2008 a 3D seismic survey was undertaken on the contract area, which identified the West Shalva structure. In June 2022 oil was detected spilling to the surface. The West Shalva prospect has potential reservoirs of Jurassic and Triassic age.
