We know where we're heading into 2024 and can invest as we see fit as 'naive' retail investors as Tymers likes to refer to us lol. I see his recent less than successful trades on ARB and BTC haven't humbled his ego yet and reminded him that we all get a few calls wrong now and again...

The insto's as Tymers should know being a billionaire (self stated) will need certain official stamps (varies case by case no doubt) for example some require a DTM confirming the mine will be OFFICIALLY going ahead before they can consider investing in GGP. The industry will categorise GGP as we move through the official milestones and stages of work. Shaun explained that some ASX focused funds will be able to or be mandated to invest in GGP on a stated intention to list on ASX while others would need us actually listed etc.

Any sector rerate as a few of us were discussing on TG is usually top down (Major, Mid, Junior) so a more extended breakout will be required for GGP to see the benefit based on our current official status IMO as James was reminding us :-)

I get what SaS is saying but on the surface for reasons around corporate standards and ethics it needs to be see that FG were chosen as the best partner, can't be any different for GGP than for other companies. FG can't be seen to be getting thrown a deal for the PCT shares agreement - very shaky ground for both companies.

I imagine other industry friends as a favour or genuine parties entered 'talks' but unofficially the FG boys had been promised the Taz assets as thanks for the 2 year tie-in as there was nothing in it for them otherwise. There are always rules around such things that must be adhered too such as tendering to X amount of potential vendors in some companies from an approved list etc.

As for the timing, business deals take time due to red tape, due diligence etc. on both parties sides, certainly in my work easily 1-2 quarters for closing deals and I've got to know a few guys in the last 2-3 years involved in areas such as O&G fairly well who tell me JV/Farm-ins and sales are very complicated and rarely quickly agreed.

TBF SaS - we knew something had to be in the mix for Pacific Trends to be agreeing to lock in for so long with their shares and yourself as others familiar with the history suggested this deal so we've been expecting it.

But these deals take time to conclude, due diligence and dotting the i's and crossing the t's and I imagine in order to ensure that there wasn't seen to be any impropriety given the Pacific Trends deal that GGP also had to discuss with other parties too, and he does mention that other deals were explored as I just finished listening and making my notes :-)

Shaun's used that phrase a lot to describe how once the option exercise and funding issues were solved that he could be more forward thinking about building the company rather than dealing with issues as those above :-)

Hi Ace - It's not for 'them' really mate, just in case they are influencing others who should go and check ALL the facts and then make up their OWN mind. It doesn't take long to post a response with the forum acting as a library nowadays and is it a coincidence that shares on loan (SOL) have started increasing again and where this board was almost dead for weeks all of a sudden we see some of these posts... I think not mate :-)

Just as a general extension to my last post to anyone interested, 'price not value' is what Shaun used to describe the option exercise outcome but a phrase used commonly by myself and others involved in business strategy etc. Sentiment and perception are used to help define 'price' and if building a demand for something those in our fields try and understand and manipulate the perception of value by highlighting features and benefits and/or use advocacy related methods and aspirational goals to help build the value proposition.

Something like the Valmin Code tries to assist in valuation of mining projects like Havieron but if you have a JVA that has inbuilt metrics and restrictions, then fair value within the remits of the code was never realistic - as much as the critics say otherwise. AIM and the markets are so susceptible to sentiment over value and factors outside the company fundamentals as in true value such as the macro situ now (or conversely in 2020) when it probably added a lot of undeserved value to most assets. I doubt we see 2020 type aligning of the stars again, but IMO feel we'll see some level of inflow of money again into the sector else I wouldn't still be here personally - GLA and DYOR as always :-))

@Vosgi read link (1) below to understand my thoughts/analysis about the outcome and frankly you shouldn't need this explaining if a serious amount of money invested here, plenty of broker notes (2) and the detailed GGP MRE included in link (3) to help you understand it that you can use to pull a valuation together and then add in some growth projections, we should all know the CAGR range by now :-)

@Foxy - I posted the interview as thought some good insights on investing in the sector, not suggesting anyone subscribes to Leni's newsletter. You are entitled to your opinions of course too, but there were some good insights on general investing in the sector in that IMO.

@Panama - It's human nature as you say but many no longer have the time or inclination for reading so many toxic posts and many of us never used LSE boards before GGP/lockdowns so it is time to get back to normal for those of us :-)

Any research is available from the GGPChat forum, anyone in the community sharing info. tends to post there and share our links here and anybody can read without an account. This board will probably never have the 2020 buzz again as that was a conjunction of a market/QE bubble and a mega discovery - very rare - but life is full of change and you do best by embracing it. All of the LSE boards, twitter, TG etc. are dead for investing interest - not GGP specific.

The stock market and crypto bubble has truly burst and many of us agree we'll see good times ahead but IMO not through an influx of retail in future, be more along lines of the Lassonde Curve (hopefully!). GGP is now a mid to long term play IMO so I intend to just switch off a bit and wait for the DFS... which is probably due from around mid Feb when the resource updates are due from NCM, may as well enjoy xMas/NY and chill out unless we get unexpected good news :-))
