It has been a textbook "Gaslighting" operation trying to make LTH who bother to read this board, doubt themselves and their assessments of the company's prospects. Whether it would ever create sufficient selling pressure to drive the SP down, is questionable, I'd suggest not. I doubt enough shares are held by the people who view this board and might be susceptible to the tactic but it must have some impact or their would be no benefit in doing it. Strangely I haven't seen any FOMO being whipped up, maybe a bit of relief from LTH sitting on paper losses and slight joy from those who had the courage of their convictions to buy more at the lower prices and are now benefitting from paper profits.

I'm sure Qube are large enough not to worry about what the end result is here, this must be small-change to them. Helikon are stuck and they know it.

Why? It seems to be following a nice, steady, stable uptrend. Why does it need to takeoff? Slow and steady more enduring then any unsustainable boom followed by bust.

Seems to be testing 50p today, surely Spicy is here celebrating almost being back at breakeven of 54p on their investment? All that boundless optimism and sunny disposition.

Probably more to do with the current off status of the on/off US/EU trade war - but yes a positive announcement would be welcomed, I'm sure

Following on from your last statement though made me think of a quote from the Dread Pirate Roberts, to mangle it horribly I'd suggest;

Equally, anyone who signs off Proceed with Caution which is very sensible for the AIM, is trying to use a truthful statement that can't be objected to, to validate by association the interminable drivel that has preceded it. Which strangely, is a sales technique, go figure.

Do not worry about the shorters, let them worry about themselves. Up 7% over last 5 days, 56% last month and 37% last 6 months, on the verge of a golden cross of 50day ma going above 200day ma on increased share volumes and a slew of recent announcements. I think all is well.

Presumably someone else is seeing it @sharesport, to drive the increase today. Unless this is being leaky again and there is news on the horizon.

20:20 hindsight says I should have acted and bought more at 25-30p but I'm still learning on charts and had hit my self imposed limit for any single investment. Hey ho.

I think that is a stretch too far of a conspiracy theory. I have no particular insight into short mindsets but I don't see Qube's play as any different to an investor buying more as the price drops like many of us did, we were convinced of long-term value so saw it as a buying opportunity (and were ridiculed for it). Qube see this as a shorting opportunity as they are convinced of failure in the long-run. One group is right, one is wrong.

As I've said before, I'm waiting for Helikon's latest accounts but I thinki they are stuck as they don't have the liquidity in cash to exit. I may be wrong but if I am, I am.

As Bilbo says, in any case, they are irrelevant as I said a few months ago. The technicals are on the verge of a Golden Cross in 2 days time at the current rate, day traders and larger investors will likely react to the signal, one more bit of good news in the meantime and the reversal could be complete and hold. Or it could fizzle out if nothing materialises, which is Qube's bet, I suspect.

Yes, I was looking to see if they had a manufacturing facility in Australia but couldn't find the information? If not, could they consider using the mothballed plant for the Neptunes for Hy-Corr as they come along and any other larger stacks for APAC region? Saves shipping costs.

You may be right Bilbo, but I think there is a lot of reluctance for EV same as there is for Heatpumps, for the same reason, concerns on price and reliability of charging/powering options

Worth remembering EV uptake was going nowhere before Elon took it upon himself to force the rollout of the EV charging network. Prior to that the uptake was stalling because there weren't enough chargers being rolled out and they were often broken or unusable because of no interoperability.

As I've said before, I am very much a novice when it comes to investing but I do like to broaden my knowledge and have learnt lots from investing in ITM.

Doesn't momentum theory of investing state that after the peak on the breakout the sp will trend to the 30day moving average, which I think is currently around 30p but will probably stabilise around 37-38p?

At that point is no further news the breakout will fizzle out, on the other hand if a new trigger such as a new set of contract announcements occurs, the sp will then see the 2nd breakout, which is what will attract the attention of the technical traders?

Or have I got that wrong?

But based on that it is easy to see that there should be a slight retrace from the peak now, with no real reason or trigger just market dynamics, something which a more experienced investor might know but obscure while describing the sp fall as some fantastic rejection by the market of the recent news?

A gambler might sell now and buy back in at 38p to catch the next breakout if there is one, but they might miss an early breakout if the news comes sooner.

Or have I got that totally wrong and need to re-read the theory to understand it better?

I may be wrong but I thought the regulation was to notify "net short position" to prevent just such a manipulation as that to be short and build a long position to clear it in one go. The only way I believe that could be done would be to have a load of options on the short volume and close them out all at the same time. But I may be wrong, not my field, mine is energy regulation to financial.

Even if those UK companies are not the best place to invest it? Government has no business mandating any such thing unless it is prepared to underwrite that with a minimum state pension equivalent to at least 1/3 final salary, say.

Ahem, I guess that might be a boost for ITM if it happens but a very good reason for opting out of company pensions and sticking it into a SIPP - Government track record of picking winners is horrendous, can you just imagine the carnage they could cause to peoples retirement plans with this measure?

Well done Wookie - my 35p buys are looking happier now and the high 40s top-ups are in serious danger of breaking even. Checked my ISA this morning and it no longer has an unhealthy pallor. Just the £1 buy and the £3 toe in the water to deal with now.
