So a new surcharge on the sale of coal,gas stone etc…..now for a country that produces very little of those products to sell this could be a tax on the production from the new energy policy….what else could it be??…….it will probably be the most stupid mineral/gas tax ever devised as those taxes would be passed straight on to the end user….😂

😂…no really you can’t make this ****e up……it now turns out the most expensive inland energy project ever in bangladesh was designed to run in cold siberian climate so will be sucking electricity from the grid of bangladesh just to keep running when it’s fkn hot….oh and it gets really hot in bangla….😂….is this news to those that signed this off??….

so what i’m getting at is once again all roads lead to the best coal in the world in the best super power plants in the world

the vver-1200 model has been designed for cold countries like russia, where cooling water below 20°c is naturally available at sea, lakes, and rivers. the nominal capacity of 1,200 mw is based on cold weather conditions. bangladesh is a hot country, and so the capacity will be reduced.

the ambient temperature in ishwardi reaches 40°c during the peak summer. the river water temperature also becomes very hot. the cooling water temperature after evaporative cooling in cooling towers will be 32°c, and that at the condenser inlet will be 33°c, which is 15°c higher than the design temperature of 18°c. as a result, the turbine will miss the output involved in this 15-degree range. the plant will not be able to reach the nominal capacity. a research paper states that capacity will decrease by 0.444% for a 1-degree increase in water temperature. thus, for hot weather, each unit of the rooppur power plant will be de-rated by about 80 mw.

unlike conventional nuclear power plants, the vver-1200 cannot drive its auxiliaries by bleeding its own steam. it has to borrow electricity from an external source. there are huge water pumps and powerful motor-driven valves in the primary and secondary loops. additionally, the circuit contains numerous control unit assembly drives, ventilation units, and pumps, all of which require electrical power. to run auxiliary drives, the plant will draw 120 mw from the grid, and the generated power will be adjusted accordingly.

Electricity demand is skyrocketing……..while society tries to brainwash people that clean energy comes from a 3 pin plug and that’s as far as you need to be thinking of the matter!…data centres are eating electricity faster than many can comprehend…..not to mention electrification of transport…..even the tree lickers in Bangladesh are ordering electric buses and charge points with world bank preferential grants..!!….the logic of that on some of the poorest roads in the world in one of the poorest nations in the world makes the mind boggle!!

This is all coming to a head as the world starts realising they have been renewable for yrs but the electricity just gets dearer….particularly Europe and the UK…..😂…..there’s gonna be one heck of an awakening soon…..

There will be very few pi,s left at the end game…..too fickle….too scatty…..and there’s always a greener pasture calling…….no complaints here,there plenty of manoeuvres being done under the radar imho…..

For anyone who read the video translation today……did I catch the govt were working on land values in the projected areas ie phulbari?…..or did I wrongly translate that?…..if that’s correct that’s very important as it’s basically fixing a future payoff/price per hectare for the land owners ?

Great video on YouTube on the domestic resources situation in Bangladesh by Dr Rahman,I asked him yesterday if he thought the next government would implement the project as a priority….he said if they don’t it’s going to be a very tough road ahead economically…..

😂…..so Bara is “the pond”…..I have seen photos and it’s like a huge wetland as the ground sunk…..Dr Rahman said the pit is basically messing around the edges and nowhere near touched for the amount of coal potentially on site……so think about it,Bara/Phulbari mentioned in the same breath on many occasions as one complete project,then Bara could potentially be floated on the Dhaka stock exchange….I’m certain the only investors for that one would be those involved in open pit extraction

Chief Election Commissioner of Bangladesh, AMM Nasir Uddin, has ruled out the possibility of introducing the Proportional Representation system in the upcoming national elections without necessary legal reforms.

Speaking to media in Dhaka, the CEC clarified that the current Representation of the People Order does not permit the adoption of the PR system, under which seats in parliament are allocated to parties based on their share of the vote.

He emphasized that any shift from the existing first-past-the-post system would require amendments to electoral laws by the Parliament.

For my mental health I like to start with a crumb and then just lightly pencil in my best case scenario valuation which I’ve stated here on a few occasions…….all the time my fingers have to be crossed hoping management are genuinely sincere about being appreciative of shareholder support…..after all it’s the pi,s that have carried Gcm to this point and kept it alive

I have gone over this a thousand times….if we are left with a crumb on the plate of gob/pc/project partners that still makes this a 10x bagger…..if it’s more than a crumb then adjust accordingly 😉

And even starting the mine on a few hundred hectares could easily produce twice what Bara produces very quickly

Oh and Dr Rahman was very passionate about the government having a stake in the project as it would basically be more ethical,I suppose after years of awami for Bangla govt even to be a sleeping partner would be seen as more politically correct…..I wouldn’t say they would benefit the project but if it keeps the populace happy then that’s good for me……

Just watched the full video,very positive and covered everything we know currently…..Dr Rahman was cautious as to committing as to what the next govts would do once the energy policy was formulated understandable……his costing for domestic coal was half of what the country is paying now……he said tweets will need to be made in the scheme of development from 2006 as population has grown and land prices have increased,and it seems the government is working on land prices for the project so that’s a big positive…..
