What I do understand is the energy situation in Bangla and the sweet spot gcm are in,when an eminent energy/economist says if the bnp don’t do domestic coal resource extraction they are in a whole lot of trouble that’s good enough for me……the tree hugging interim government is on borrowed time and they could make more of a mess in the next few months so it’s understandable there’s hesitation to jump in,there won’t be many people that have done the warts n all forensic analysis of the situation I would like to think I have 👍

Final report in January

The review committee today, Sunday, submitted an interim report to the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources. It will submit its final report in mid-January.

The campaign period for Bangladesh's 13th national election, scheduled to take place in February next year, is officially under way.

The Chief Advisor’s Office (CA0) released the first campaign teaser on Sunday, urging citizens to take part in what has been described as one of the most significant elections in the country’s history.

Retired army captain Dr Md Khan Sobayel Bin Rafiq, who coordinated the investigation into the 2009 BDR mutiny and represents families of enforced disappearance victims, delivered the campaign message.

In the short video, Dr Rafiq says: “Leaving behind those past chapters, Bangladesh now stands before the most important election in its history. This election is your chance to reclaim ownership of your country.”

“Election 2026 -- the key to the nation is in your hands. Cast your vote and decide what kind of Bangladesh you want to see.”

The campaign follows Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus’s announcement in August that the general election would be held before the start of Ramadan next year.

A day after his speech to the nation on Aug 5, the CAO instructed the Election Commission to begin preparations for the vote.

The Chief Election Commissioner has said the official schedule will be announced around two months before polling day, with the Election Commission expected to publish it in the first half of December.

Unlikely to Finish Next Year

Of SGFL’s 16 planned wells, work has been completed on nine. Of BGFCL’s 14 wells, only three have been finished. BAPEX was tasked with drilling the highest number—20 wells.

Of these, eight are done and one is underway. Contracts for another five wells have been signed with China’s Sinopec. BAPEX officials admit that all wells cannot be completed within the current timeframe.

chief adviser’s press secretary shafiqul alam has firmly said that the election will be held before february 15, regardless of any decision on the referendum issue.

“the chief adviser will decide on the referendum. whatever the decision, there is no power to delay the election,” he said.

I do think trading is returning to some normality now after weeks of single trades,lots of buys going through in the sell column but we are overdue a move back into the 7-8p range…….

My take on the situation regarding raising funds..again!…..we have worked out that GCM resources plc has enough funding till early 2026,why would they raise a million quid now?……if they did imho it would be a bad move and they don’t typically make bad moves in this respect?……so a million quid raise now at 6p dilutes the company by around 5%…..hardly going to cause anyone loss of sleep!……now the sensible option would be to wait for the new energy policy that’s highly likely to feature domestic coal extraction and then the shareprice should be multiples of today’s price,if phulbari is specifically mentioned then we will never be give raising capital a second thought ever!!………my take as ever,please do your own research 👍

Yea we did see it gp but good to see it again thanks,once again they have to mention the three paid protestors that were killed during the staged protests…..it’s sad for any loss of life but this is a country where 100+ people get killed on their manic roads every day…..the situation with those protestors has wore very thin compared to the millions of people that could be lifted from poverty,starvation and death by increasing the country’s gdp……..
