Funding issues put to bed till well into 2026……I know the share price will be multiple of today by then so it’s an absolute non entity discussing it ever again…….

It’s totally in the hands of gcm management and their integrity…..they owe it to the support of small shareholders particularly,that’s kept this company going,as always with aim and the uk market my excitement gets tempered at potentially being short changed here as has happened many times in the past….all that said there are diamonds out there and you do very rarely sometimes get lucky….it only takes one of two in a lifetime of investing to come up trumps and your made…….👍

Danno…..can you imagine who will have their cheque books open if this gets lift off?……the overburden values alone will provide a massive working capital injection then for the mining itself tree reputed to be a mining company with a tabled offer of $15bln bucks to get this rocking…….

The return is phenomenal for gcm shareholders even if we give the Chinese and bangla govt the golden share of the project

Again!!….every expert in the country is shouting so loud now it’s deafening!

Key Priorities for the Next Government:

·      Follow the Integrated Energy and Power Master Plan (IEPMP) with discipline.

·      Launch PSC bidding for onshore and offshore petroleum exploration.

·      Strongly support BAPEX’s exploration and development of 50–100 new wells.

·      Expedite gas evacuation from Bhola to the national grid and start drilling in CHT, Chattak, and Tengratilla.

·      Complete the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant on schedule.

·      Ensure imported coal-based plants have an uninterrupted coal supply.

·      Establish a state-owned agency dedicated to renewable energy development.

·      Allow BERC to function independently, free from interference.

·      Finally, make domestic coal mining a top national priority.

Urgent Priority: Harness Domestic Fuel Resources

It is alarming that despite an ongoing energy crisis, Bangladesh has yet to make a decisive move to utilize its known coal reserves. While there are genuine concerns about environmental and social impacts, modern technologies exist to manage these challenges effectively. The next government must make a political decision early in its tenure to begin mining coal and setting up domestic coal-based power plants.

At the same time, exploration for petroleum resources must accelerate. The government should launch production sharing contract (PSC) bidding for offshore and onshore blocks within six months of taking office. Swift action is also needed to evacuate gas from Bhola Island to the national grid and resume exploration at Tengratilla and Chattak. Drilling in the Chittagong Hill Tracts should also begin by 2026, with at least 10 exploration rigs from BAPEX and international oil companies in operation by that time.

I think on the list of attendees our old friend Shafiqul Alam was present,he also sat in the coal seminar in March and voted for home coal use….being an environmentalist and renewable expert he saw the environmental benefits of using the fantastic domestic resources instead of imported crap fuels….looking like the argument is won now the bent awami govt has gone 👍

We know it’s in the bnp development program for Bangladesh but very good to hear coal specifically mentioned instead of mineral resources and strong emphasis on development of domestic resources,that’s the first time I’ve heard anyone speaking on behalf of the future govt about domestic energy,this more than ever makes me think the bnp will have had input into the new energy policy due soon…..Yunus cannot construct a policy for future govts without consulting them…..👍
