I don't think i have ever truly hated anyone in my life. Hate is such a strong emotion. However, the actions and Putin and his supine functionaries truly sicken me. I understand why Nato is refusing to go to the assistance of the brave Ukrainians but they will have to confront the despot eventually. I speak as a long term holder (20 years+) of BP and i have seen all the ups and downs including Deepwater. I have nothing but admiration for what Bernard Looney and his board did, notwithstanding that it caused a significant paper loss for me and doubtless many others. BP is a very well run business and i have no concerns about its long term prospects. We are all very fortunate to live in the UK though we all like to moan about trivial shortcomings etc. I don't believe in God but i send my heartfelt good wishes to the people of Ukraine and all who support them.
Could not agree more - understandable but IMO misplaced optimism here today - there is a very long way to go and unless Putin is stopped either internally or by force his dark shadow will hang over the western world for many years to come. I am a long term holder of BP and am sitting on a hefty paper loss. Money can always be replaced - people cant.
Morning Jakers I do hope you are right about Putin. If History teaches us anything it is that tyrants never give up power unless they are forced from office. Sanctions will not stop Putin. Force is the only thing scum like him understand.
