Ive bought back into bp on the basis that i do not view the supreme court decision as necessarily bad news. It sends a clear message to the BoD that there is no future for oilies in the UK which may, in turn, lead to a delisting. Furthermore, I note that the news did not negatively impact the SP. From a cynical investor viewpoint there is also the strong possibility of full scale conflict between Israel and Hezbollah as i cannot see the present or any future Israel government tolerating the presence of terrorists on its borders. GLA.

No need to be despondent. The sp will always be volatile as it's directly linked to the oil price. People invest in the stock market because they enjoy the buzz. If you want to sleep better at night then leave your cash on deposit. 5% is not a bad return.

With respect, not a well thought out idea.

BP shareholders would be demonised if what you suggest were to happen. Hopefully, Putin will be either killed or removed in the not too distant future and the situation may then be more positive for BP but i am not holding my breath.
