Where else am I going to get a SAFE near 5% return ? Any ideas ?

True it will probably be a down day for the SP but it's just another buying opportunity for a long term holder like me.

Regardless of the oil price, the upside potential of the SP will always be limited unless and until the dividend is significantly increased, along with buybacks presumably.

the divi is going up 4% pa till 2025. Get used to it !

As a long term holder of bp (more than 10 years) I am pleased with the results. The negative views expressed here are doubtless from frustrated short term holders or day traders.

I agree with you Tinker. I was merely expressing my personal opinion. Like you and many others, i will be delighted if the dividend is hiked.

BP has already committed to an annual increase in the dividend of 4%. As a long term holder i dont have a problem with that.
