Hello Lee
PANR is really one of those situations where the real value hinges on securing the RIGHT partner rather than yesterday’s rns which the market has it would appear viewed as indifferent.
If they were to bring in a smaller independent or less established company, the market would probably treat it as a necessary step forward but not a major re-rating. We might see the share price move into the mid-teens, just on reduced uncertainty around future prospects.
Where i believe it becomes a little more interesting is if they land a credible mid-tier operator like Harbour Energy or APA, indeed Repsol Corporation. At this point, the main asset starts to look commercially viable, and probably move into the 20p–40p range. I think this would be quite reasonable.
If a larger player such as BP or Shell were involved, that would be a much stronger signal to the market and It would effectively validate the asset at a higher level, and the market would likely respond quite quickly. Possibly pushing the valuation into the 40p+ range.
I suppose this is why most of the shorter-term noise has been ignored, the real inflection point is when that partner announcement lands.
Just my thoughts lee, still impatiently waiting for that tangible RNS
