At the moment I would humbly suggest that is a slightly pessimistic assessment - because it hints that they won't succeed! Perhaps bitter experience of the past has tainted your forward outlook somewhat? One would assume that HDD did their DD and market research prior to implementing this US project in order to establish its potential viability. Would you not agree? It's early days and the noises the company are making are positive about the facilities progress. That of course doesn't mean it will be a success but let's wait and see. Substantial investment by HH and other HNWI's in recent times gives me some comfort. These people have longer investment horizons than many impatient PI's and I hasten to add I do NOT include you in that category.

No they're not. A number are actually buys but red - I could see they were buys by the spread at the time. This happens a lot. Not a bad day actually. I'm encouraged by the small parcels of shares being sold readily snapped up. This bodes well for coming days.

Was it tipped somewhere? I noticed iii had HDD down as one of its shares to watch in 2016. That didn't work out then! Maybe they were a year early with their prediction? ;)

Truro - thanks well it looks as though you've been around for a lot longer than me so I'd respect your knowledge. Not sure about the squeaky bums though. Production is being phased over to the US already so it will be beginning to earn its corn. Hargreaves Hale and other HNWI's took substantial stakes here just a couple of months ago and they will have more visibility on longer term horizon than you or I. You make it sound rather binary. IMO it certainly isn't. Do you trade in and out of this?

I have a relatively small holding in Shanta but am watching like a hawk. Anything under 9 and specifically between 8.25/8.50 and I'm throwing the kitchen sink at this because that IMO would be absolutely bargain territory. Better times to come next year. Gold price recovery and further excellent progress here. A little more short term gold doom and gloom wouldn't go amiss though.

With a substantially firmer oil price expect a recovery in the O&G sector with a particular eye on the US fracking industry. Hardides new US manufacturing facility may have been timed almost perfectly. Add in the exciting Aerospace prospects and could we see the Perfect Storm? I am speculating of course, no guarantees but I think both of these scenarios are likely to play out.

Consolidation in the Cyber sector has already been signposted previously. Falanx Would prefer to be the hunter rather than the hunted

Let's put a question out there? LTH's take a deep breath ;) Why would Aerobus work in collaboration with Hardide for 8 years on alternative to HCP and then go elsewhere for an inferior product. Why would they not go ahead with an order for the tested and approved Hardide product which meets new EU regulations coming into effect next Sept 2017. The clock is ticking. Wouldn't think they (Aerobus) will delay much longer. Lots of new Aerobuses to build after the HCP ban takes effect! Roughly 700 planes a year I believe from my research. That translates into something like £7m Rev pa for HDD. Which would blow their previous growth rates out the water.

What do you make of today's rise? Out of nothing its back up to levels last seen in Oct. Quite substantial and strength not seen for a long while.

Agreed. I am very optimistic for next year. Key questions for me will include: Current Cashburn Break even More information about pipeline - what sectors - company sizes Current cash position BYOD - been very quiet on this for a long time Cyber Insurance -, been even quieter for a very long time! They just need to come clean on these things. Provide some clarity. If they've put them on the back burner while they grow the business - fair enough - but say so! Communicate!

All sounds very encouraging doesn't it? Meanwhile I note the SP is beginning to consolidate in the 18's. The 1 year chart is looking very favourable for us. Buyers beginning to overpower the selling?

Next Thursday 15th. I expect the company to issue an AGM statement providing a corporate, operational update and a very positive outlook. I'm hoping to attend. Anyone else going?

Great stuff thanks. Glad I'm not alone here! I do tend to get in when things are quiet, my preferred strategy. I've noticed a degree of scepticism and cynicism regarding this company on various boards. Understandable as product development and bring to market as well as growth has been very slow. But I think that's about to change and, in AIM, it's often about timing your entry into stocks. I think I've got that reasonably correct here. I have a fairly decent record at buying into stocks but sometimes sell too early. I've built up a good holding here now at what I consider to be a low low price. So it's time now to sit back and watch things unfold.

As well as highly encouraging long term fundamentals there is a great short term opportunity here because the shares are ridiculously oversold on a technical basis. RSI of 12. Bouncing off the bottom of BB. Results next Monday which the market already knows will be poor but this is priced in. More of interest will be forward outlook statement and any hint of commercial orders pending from Aerobus - this WILL be a game changer for HDD.

I reckon this is a great play on a recovery in the O&G industry. In addition the company has, in recent times, diversified its product offering into a range of other industries, specifically Aerospace where we are hoping for commercial deals arising from HCP ban in 2017. Aerobus contract would be long term and very lucrative.
