Re the small share holder26 Oct 2012 10:51
All of this is far from simple, I’ve read than Mr Tan’s £1bn shares were purchased with a loan from Standard Charter Bank & the bulk of Mr Rothschild’s share’s, 40m was a gift firm the Co & the return requested back as part of a ‘possible’ deal. Bumi defaulted on loans in the Asian crisis so has history. It already has a £1bn loan from the Chinese’s at an interest rate of 7%, this is why the stock price is stagnant, it can fall as easily as it can rise if bad news comes out. Quite where the small share holder sits with this is any ones guess.
