Stock market support, which started in July & was suspended on Monday but recommenced Tuesday after Mondays 8.5% shanghai fall.

It’s the modern day business model, demoralize holders in the hope that they sell. Then the Pro’s can use the stock to close their shorts & drive the price higher. It takes time, commodity prices are forecast to see a recovery later this year, due to Chinese stimulus.

There is no logical reason why the Pro’s shouldn’t put this into play & let it run up for a time. They can easily short it back down again if they want to. Unless someone has their eyes on the company & is actively shorting to keep the price down, as with GKP back at it’s 32p support.

The good news is that possibly that was the last of the sellers holding & note that it only takes relatively low volume to move the stock up by large percentages. China has recommenced it’s market support today, so things should start to improve.

Reaction to China’s PMI today, good news is that there is no new production coming on line. This may see an oversold bounce next week, otherwise we are looking at later this year. The 6p support has held. China started to allow shorting about 3 months ago, so it’s no surprise that their market is down 30% along with commodities.

I’m looking to the end of the year. China’s manufacturing is forecast to increase in Q3 / Q4 2015 due to it’s stimulus programme which has a 6 month time lag. Commodities production is forecast to decrease in 2016.

Announces that it is reducing platinum production. The first miner to do so & could signal a bottoming in the platinum price.

The platinum price has been shorted & sold down to $981, which is an excellent opportunity to short the stock still further, to try to obtain the lowest possible price before the run up to results. Unlikely to fall below the 6p support, but they can try. Current Bid 6.30 Offer 6.50. The games continue.

Bid 6.51 / Offer 7.49. Make of this what you will. Fact is that Ordinary’s initially bought at 7.27 yesterday before AT’s sold at 7p & brought the sp down. Offer 7.49, no, should be no more than the UT at 7.08p. Will we see the same practice today ? What’s the market makers goal- assist an increasing share price or assist Pro’s to extract money. We know the answer.

As said before it’s amazing that sellers want to sell at massive losses baring in mind that most stock was purchased over 40p, over the last 20 years. Yearend results out at the end of July. There either going to be bad or we will see an outperform from the shorted stock price. Usual games.

Pro trading is all about averaging. Market Makers use this in every trade ie averaging their position above the Bid to try to obtain a profit. This could, no guarantees, be an opportunity to recover your losses ? With a year end view in mind of possibly 20 to 40p. The current 200 day moving average is 12.64p, which is a short term target.

Naked short selling- Pro’s sell stock that they don’t have to provoke sellers. Widen the spread & or place large sell orders in the order book. Then use the sellers stock to close their short. Market Makers also do this, via their prop desk. It’s money in the bank for them & known as walking the stock down. When they have accumulated enough stock at the lowest price possible, they will allow it to go up. This process only works if people sell. This was positive this morning until the shorts came in again.
