Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Let’s hope real progress can be made this year so that everything gets resolved, we can get properly reimbursed and we can all move on.
Well the price only needs to go up 1p and you’ve got yourself a 50% profit. £50k on £100k investment. Not too shabby. Assuming the assets we have left are worth at least 3p a share it’s a scenario that’s not too hard to imagine.
If there is a deal being done, which I very much hope there is, we’re hardly likely to know about it now. No news is no news for me. We’ll know when we are told via RNS.
Well they said they achieved their best daily rate of 40.5m per day so should be easy to work out. What’s the total distance?
Good news but why don’t they say how much it’s worth?
From one post yesterday I noted JP’s email reply in which he stated that he’d never guaranteed a 4 digit sp. What he claims he actually said was that IF the company discovered multi tcf THEN the price could well reach those levels. I wasn’t there so I can’t prove it one way or the other but I am inclined to believe him. It certainly sounds far more plausible than the alternative. I simply cannot believe that a CEO Of Sound’s scale would be that irresponsible and frankly stupid to make investors think it was in the bag before any of the drills. He/we got excited, probably not unreasonably, but whether that was unfounded has yet to be conclusively proven. And as I have said before the chance of success of any of the drills was never more than 30% - I.e the chance of failure was 70%. If a horse comes in fourth at 3/1 would punters be giving the trainer & jockey the same grief some are giving JP right now?
Mind you a death threat is not really on is it?
And in the meantime the sp is slowly slipping back....
In the last two days volume of shares bought has exceeded shares sold by over 100%. Absolute amounts not humungous but not paltry either. But sp has barely moved.
So, the BOD and some on here say there is a reasonable amount of value in what we have in Morocco. But no offers declared yet although a deal may be in progress. Either there is or will be deal by the end of the year (assuming deal = broadly end of marketing process). If that is the case then at least we will get something. If we don’t get an offer or one that will satisfy the majority then we continue drilling which will require more cash. If that happens we will HAVE to find something at TE11 otherwise we will be worse off than we are now and even less likely to find a buyer other than at a knock down price. I’m still hopeful but this is really testing my nerve.
SP rising steadily today. I’m hoping for an early Christmas present in the form of a payout. Might make up for depressing news elsewhere SOU, SXX....the list goes on....
A few decent buys this morning and far more buys than sells and yet the sp drops. Que passa?
So, if everything is meant to be tied up by the end of the year, and factoring in the time required to go through notifying shareholders/voting re any offers and so on, then working backwards from 31st December when is technically the last day for us to hear if an offer has been made and put to the shareholders?
Has the company stated the COS on this yet? I’m not an O&G expert so forgive my ignorance if already stated or way too early.
Jez, I hope you’re right but that was then and this is now when we know a lot more and let’s be honest, the news has hardly been stellar.
Happy to be shot down, and knowing this BB I will be by a few, but, and as much as I want it to be true, how can an SP of £1 be attained when it is currently at 8p? How can the MMs be getting it so wrong? I can just about believe 40p but £1? Have there been any cases in the past where this has happened? With similar circumstances of course.
Didn’t BM describe the seismic as “as good as it gets” at some point? Now it’s flawed?? Worrying....But I am an eternal optimist.
So do LSE change the number of shares in your portfolio or do I have to do it? I am currently sitting on a large profit ha ha ha!!
But look at his total holding. No one can say he doesn’t have skin in the game. There are a few CEOs who have sat on their hands in these situations. CF didn’t and I for one feel there is still a reasonable chance we’ll get through this.
In a few weeks we’ll have a deal with the EU, the markets will respond really positively and it’ll all come good......is one hope. Otherwise I think we all just have to sit tight.
