RE: Question from a relatively new investor - March 202018 Dec 2020 15:17
Sogamla... I agree with most of what you said hands down, but for me the sticking point is 'expodential growth' I dont think the market really beleive that. Cathal has done an amazing job in brutal management and hats off to him for that, but he is not prepared to invest in growth of the company per se'. He just takes opportunities to increase revenues on short term leases and employment contracts that I can see.
From an investor perspective the case is very good short to medium term but thereafter once any family silver has been sold, Divis paid and leases expire, then what I can't see how he can claim to be 'fast growing'.
It has been bugging me for months to be honest the paradox of his claims when also claiming he would sell the business to a decent offer!
The management actions of cutting the layers of deadwood and seeking to realise hidden assets is great but you cannot grow a company over anything but the short term without capital investment and real expansion. The Golden Goose
will stop laying and that is what I see personally in the broker forecasts and I think may influence the larger investment institutions. licensing data etc helps revenues of course but where is the real capital growth coming from long term if they aren't prepared to spend money?
Jumt my veiw of course nothing more. regards DJ
