also 300k purchase would be 10.97p cant get more than that on instant quote so the book seems to be in some sort of balance I think for now.

that said I've got an instant offer of 10.63 for 400k shares in one go which rarely happens is this stock, so they are happy to buy them.

28p from what I recall!! which to my mind is way over a realistic one within 12 months. I had it around circa 18p on fundamentals and increased production but the inflation rate and dollar strength cut into that somewhat.

The dips today are just down to smaller trades by retail I suspect. Those who are becoming jumpy on the take over aspect of this company going the wrong way.
This is a trading strategy which is all well and good but the overarching investment case here remains the potential future profit margins on a resource that increases each time they release news. I am not Erik's biggest fan, in fact quite the opposite but I don't see this company as a risk; even short term if the gold price really is starting to move up longer term even if a take over offer is not forthcoming or rejected.
The broker target was calculated on a mean gold price of $1.8k that is not that far off and the all encompassing costs set to fall in the face of a potentially weaker dollar it is again good news for profitability. The downside risk is short term low volumes taking the SP lower which, is a factor that many who frequent these board play to!

So for me the investment case is more upside than down over the next few months. I lost patience with Erik over the last few months but I still maintain that the terms of that loan agreement he did was absolutely top drawer work by him; insightful even.
The SP will move as it does because volumes are low and the MMs use wide spreads to encourage sellers to panic. This tactic is nothing new they have been doing it all year. Make your own minds up is my tip.

John... the volumes are pitiful at the moment that's all hence the lack of movement or random drops. The market makers in this share have taken the P&ss all year with their prohibitive quoted spreads. I e-mailed the company about it twice about getting their broker on the case and never even got a response. It's all part of the game sadly.. Perfect background for the likes of the wally publican to crow and bait everyone..I see from the filter lines it was back this morning.

This share has been slow to move all year apart from the interested party disclosure date. Always seems to be sellers about and don't forget we were circa 8-10 most of the year and only even got to 12p with gold at $2k ... A lot has changed since of course and it will turn on results if gold holds momentum. Just a question of when not if.

read it again ... the rate of buying in the gold market was immense for the last two sessions and I was referring to the RSI heading up which, at this rate, would make it oversold "soon". That's it, that simple.

As for your other comment I'll ignore that as I was making mention of the gold price not the shanta share price..Don't connect dots that aren't there. Thanks

Yep.. some people never learn the lesson of not trading the miners on spot price movements only.. helps the margins but hey I am not complaining but some got fleeced this morning watching the price too much.

This share is sadly indicative of most retail investors whom, buy and sell miners with every movement of the gold spot price! totally pointless but there you go ... frustrating but provides opportunity when panic hits. Been the same all bloody year sadly in this and other small cap producers,

My hypothesis is that Gold is seeing interest given that the rapid rate rises in the US are not showing (immediate) sign of curbing inflation. The markets see interest rates higher for longer as the only way to tackle inflation but the US economy will tank on that path so people are looking elsewhere; gold. They think the FEd and central banks can't grip inflation in simple terms. Just my thoughts.

well if I was a chart based person looking at gold now I'd see an increase in volume and a triple bottom which had formed and now moved up.. strong move from gold just now. it just needs to carry on and we will break the downtrend.. x fingers gold needs a break and if it does I owe Ricky a pint by xmas.
