The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Great stuff Zoro. Thanks for getting back to me. For what it’s worth, my reservations (whilst light) were with the acceptance of the wider crypto ‘offer’ by governments and the masses, generally. Like you, this position by Powell helps me put any reservations I have (had) to one side.
Regarding this particular share (ARB) which you and I now both agree is operating in an increasingly ‘stable’ and increasingly more accepted sector (digital currencies) I’m not quite sure what more I could ask from Peter Wall and the company. If my previous holdings (they were all in ‘safe’ FTSE 100 companies until recently) had the same level of transparency, strategy, and future potential, I’d have been over the moon. Sadly, they didn’t. Safe, but not quite as exciting as ARB. I regrettably don’t have the intellect to give you any more reassurance on ARB, and this won’t really help you much, but I have a lot to lose in ARB, but luckily I am reasonably early to the party (slightly earlier than you by the sounds of it) and hold a very unexpected profit in a very unexpected timescale. Yet, I too, like others have not sold a single share and strongly believe that we are invested in a once in a generation share, here. If only we can show a little more patience, manage our expeditions slightly, and not overly question intricate daily movements, then I believe we’ll be in a good place in the not too distant future. Perhaps we could cut ARB some slack until the March update, at least? Thanks again.
Apologies if already posted - the board is quite difficult to wade through of late. Not sure I completely agree with the proposal suggested in this quote from Powell, but surely this indicates the recognition by the likes of the FED that digital currencies are here for the long term. Does this provide any comfort or discomfort to the like of Zoro et al? Genuine question. Many thanks.

Thanks for sharing the article. Just read it.
Pardon my naivety, but what is a "cum incubator" (4th paragraph, just below the quote). I thought I was getting to grips with this sector. I'm now starting to think I've invested in something completely different!
Thank you all for this thread. Very informative. It’s certainly an eye opener. Whilst confident that I’d be in profit with Arb, I have completely underestimated the potential magnitude. In fact, it’s a little overwhelming (in a positive way).
I'm sure they were long six hours, LB?! And thanks. Whilst my average is now up from 130p(ish) thanks to this morning's decision to jump in with both feet (and the rest), given the turmoil in sentiment, the sp has been quite...well...steady. Bodes well for the coming weeks / months. Looking forward to seeing what both immediate and long term future holds. And nice to see BTC performing this afternoon – I never thought I’d see the day where I wish my weekends away! Have a great weekend.
Quite an apt thread name for me to admit that I sold all other (non-Arb) shares yeterday in readiness to capitalise on 'the' infamous drop today (which didn't arrive). I was heavy here before this morning, but now; colours, mast, nailed. I've gone all-in @London_Balling style and up to my conkers in Arb. I now have little to no chance of reducing the number of times I check BTC and ARB sp. Good luck

Fair play, it’s quite something for a CEO to react to comments and feedback of both content and disgruntled investors in such a responsive way. Whilst I have been comfortable with this week’s events, this interview just reaffirms my comfort, and hopefully helps those who have had some reservations this week?
(My missus started drinking water out of a jam jar recently, too. It must be a ‘thing’).
Thanks all. Fascinating stuff. I just hope that everyone can manage expectations at 14:30. A quick skim of the board suggests all eyes on USA! What’s the rush, eh ;-)
Luckily, I have (yet another) Teams meeting to join and be distracted.
Anyone else notice a short-lived but dramatic drop to 200p at 12:03 this afternoon? This has happened on two other occasions over the last few weeks (that I have noticed), and for some reason the SP then follows an aggressive rise a few hours later. Just an observation. I'm not even going to begin to try to understand why, unless anyone else can hypothesise?
Also, 80% by now. Just transferred a cash ISA from previous years’ into HL. That’ll be going 100% into Arb too. I do plan to do the sensible thing and diversify, but post listing on NASDAQ. Will still hold a substantial amount in Arb though - until Texas....and so on.
I’ve been busy with the day job today. The first opportunity I had to check how Arb was doing was nearing close. It was down quite a lot from what I remember from yesterday, and so I panicked - and bought more (!), coincidentally it was in the low 230s, but regrettably it wasn’t £1m.
Have a great weekend. (These weeks are flying by!)
Just been reading the SGI chat. No offense intended to anyone (including Pearls) but these comments made me chuckle. I wish Pearls would join us here and invest in Arb :-)
Comment: “Why are arb people on here? They are messing with my head”.
Response: “I believe Pearls has been on other threads trying to drum up interest in SGI..........must have gone a bit too far on the ARB board. Pearls must be so desperate to get out of this.”
