Hi Croydonboys,
Not quite. At the current SP I'd be about even-stevens. But again, not a big amount even if it went to zero. LTH not necessarily a bad thing, though? You don't like the company?
Yes, I'm sure being underwater and stuck wasn't pleasant. Hope that's no longer the case for you?
Yes, and hope you too have good weekend.
Hi Croydonboys. Yes, you could be right. Only a modest amount, so even if it did sky rocket, it would hardly be life changing. An incentive to keep an eye on VLS’ progression / news etc. Here’s to hoping there will be reason to add in the future.
Cheers.
Well, I didn't think the opportunity would come quite so soon, but given the weekend is upon us, and no doubt a little more press coverage of this week's IAG news, it 'may' be on more investors' radars come Monday morning. I've joined with a modest amount.
Great stuff; thanks Spot. Yes, agreed, it certainly was posted in lots of places. I’m just wondering whether it was picked up, discussed and digested by the market before this week? I was half expecting some form of reaction in the SP to coincide with the September timings – perhaps people are harder to impress these days :-)
No, I don’t think you can be accused of de-ramping and thanks for your constructive feedback. I ‘think’ I now have a target SP (but wont’ declare that, as I will rightfully get shot on here!). I’m happy that I now want ‘in’, but I’m going to try and be patient. My instincts are not usually to be trusted, mind!
Good to chat. Well done on this SP so far, and good luck over the coming weeks and months. I’ll be keeping a close eye.
Ps Looks like there is good support in the mid 14ps but a bit of resistance in the low 15 pence, today. US may have better ideas. Thanks again.
Hi Spot7. Yes, I thought it may have already been priced in too, but looking at the SP around that time, it doesn't look like it made much of an impact, so perhaps it flew underneath the radar of investors…until now? Sorry, I'm repeating myself a little, but the IAG news has certainly attracted people like me, who have then done a bit more digging, found this WH paper and are now putting it firmly as another strong ‘tick’ the positives column. Perhaps the WH is in the process of being priced in as awareness of it, and the company increases?
Hi Cebo – yes, I work for company very close to NetZero initiatives, and rather embarrassingly, wasn’t overly aware of this tech. It’s certainly reads like an exciting company to be; what my SP entry is, is another question?! Answers on a postcard! ;-)
And thanks for the responses. Very useful.
Thanks HelloSanDiego, you beat me to it. Yes, WH paper in September, but I assume this week's IAG news regarding the MoU has added quite a bit of spotlight and attention to it, thus confidence in long term attractiveness. I don't think the SP moved 'that' much around the time of the WH paper, but the IAG news this week has clearly had an impact (it made people like me stick my nose in, anyway). Interesting company. Thanks for the responses. Much appreciated.
I did more DD last night and this morning, and it certainly looks like a good solid company. Pretty impressive to be mentioned in the White House paper at this stage, even if there is stiff competition. SP seems to have temporarily settled in the UK this morning, I'm just nervous that the US will start the frenzy again and the SP shoots up again (I'm not invested yet, but starting to feel the urgency in doing so, as it was kindly pointed out to me yesterday :-) what with this week's positive news being filtered through and digested over the weekend etc. Before I make the plunge, does anyone have any insight on how our US friends have taken to the company? Presumably quite well given yesterday's rush? Thanks in advance.
Thanks all. Much appreciated. So, MoU, thus not legally binding, but with intention of exchanging contracts (soon). A potential for another spike in SP on exchanges of contract, perhaps? Sounds like there is a bit of time on my side to dig around a little more, until then. Thank you again.
Hi - I'm not invested here...yet, but doing some DD. What I'm reading is that IAG have signed an MoU, and thus not a signed contract. So, not legally binding and therefore a risk that this could fall through? Is that the understanding of others? Trying to establish if the agressive rise in SP is predicated on investors beliveing it's a done deal? Thanks in advance.

Same here. Don't consider myself as 'old guard', but jumped in back in December 2020. Still holding. Still in the red (I kept adding over the months since last year). The only change from me is that I was once a long-term holder, to now an even longer term holder. I was once on the Discord group, but unfortuanrly not a member of it any longer. Though keen to get back in amongst it (in case Delacy is redig this). Thanks.
Yeah, those are valid points, to be fair JC.
I think it does depend on how you view things. Rightly or wrongly, and I guess I’ll find out for sure in the future, but the Argo boys and girls clearly believe very strongly in Bitcoin, and have raised capital in a means that least impacts the amount of Bitcoin they hold I.e. to not sell it? Whatever our individual take on things, perhaps due to my personal situation of being underwater that I’m being overly optimistic? Either way, I’m now a long time holder. Admittedly, I didn’t really have a timeline when I first invested, but feeling comfortable (even in today’s SP) to keep holding indefinitely: even if they are just handed down to my grandkids (as a point of reference - I’ve not been a Dad that long :-)
Cheers for the points you make.
I have no value to add to this thread, other than to try and give others ‘some’ comfort that I too, like 600Thieves above am averaging circa £2.20 with £40k invested. Obviously (!), even in the short-term I’d rather not be in the position that I’m in with this particular share, but hey, it happens, I guess? I can’t see any major negative decisions made made the Argo team to cause the slip; quite the contrary, in fact. I’m still a fan of the Argo team, but even they can’t control day-to-day (or even hour-by-hour) sentiment. Hope everyone is well, and not too stressed out. On the plus side; it’s Friday today.
Any significance to the timing of Arb's decalartion of no shares in treasury? Today being 'just another day', or can we read anything further into it? It feels like that there's so mnay moving parts at the moment, it's difficult to keep up and not get carried away with even these kinds of RNSes ;-)
Happy Friday.
