Good afternoon Amerloque and thank you for your kind comment. Apologies for the delay in reply too but I have been travelling.

I see you have had a life in payments and SWIFT, which as you indicate must have been very challenging. Given the nature of the beast thats not a surprise but you can be pleased it’s now done and behind you I am sure.

I likewise feel that NANO still has a fair chance of coming good, although I have less confidence it has potential to reach multiples of today’s value as it did briefly a few years back. I hope to be wrong about that of course as it would signal a very decent party.

It is quite possible that NANO has chosen to protect using trade secrets over patent filings and indeed I recollect it did mention at least one invention where it did not apply for a patent and is reliant upon secrecy.

How valuable that invention is and whether it is attractive to potential purchasers I have no idea but the change of approach could indicate that it does indeed hold value.

It would be nice to see the government create an environment where companies could flourish in the UK, rather than simply find more ways to increase tax and shrink the economy - or is it just me?

It is of course possible that no one is interested in making an offer.

However, I consider NANO would be compelled to issue an RNS had no offers had been received, or discussion had ended. If that is so, it should follow that meaningful discussion is ongoing. Indeed, the RNS states discussion is ongoing and with multiple parties.

Whilst there was no real meat in this RNS I don’t see need to panic or sell yet. It is perhaps a case of all or nothing but we have until at least end September before some concern and possibly panic is warranted. I am quietly confident about Dmitry and team, although I am a little overweight here and so not buying any more.

I wonder how the market will react to Nigel Pickett’s retirement? A few years ago I suspect it would have been a concern but at this point it is perhaps no longer material?

Otherwise, litigation progresses, financials are about where we expected and there are no announcements for now whilst discussions and new markets are being considered.

Where does that leave us? I would say the trading looks mildly positive, although I was expecting to see

more than ‘considering our strategic options’ regarding the sale. What to make of that?

From a shareholders perspective, Cliff appears able to have been able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory on a number of occasions but he has always done very well personally. The model is not working for us.

I think they work on the basis that they catch the low level issues such as misleading advertising or when a fraud reveals itself. That works best with General insurance and Life Assurance products. Examples of dishonest corporate governance and insider dealing are far harder to prove, so they prefer not to spend too much time and effort on that. I concede those subjects make for a more difficult investigation. It takes longer and costs more but if they worked a few and secured convictions there would be far greater deterrence. As it is they are scaring nobody.

I was not aware of that Gravedigger but it just makes sense.

It would be nice if the UK government would allow industry to develop and pay reasonable taxes instead of taxing it to death and forcing us to import instead. Not just in the oil business either.

The World would really benefit from another oil rich supply in the FI because even the US is no longer a reliable source. I believe that’s a major positive for this development and to be honest I am a little surprised we don’t hear more about that, including from governments.

It is August, so it is to be expected that decisions might be slow whilst the key people are on holiday. Hopefully we shall learn something in the Autumn.

Hello Kooba. It’s more a presumption that an RNS would be required to reflect any change than existence of finalists.

Giving Dmitry the benefit of doubt that he is an open and honest actor, it seems likely that shareholders are entitled to understand that we are operating broadly to plan.

If it turns out that no indicative offers have been received or are expected then I would say we have been misled, again.

As ever, we are in an information Black Hole with NANO but I shall ‘keep the faith’ for a few months longer and keep an open mind on whether to reduce or sell out completely from here.

More generally, I favour precious metals in the current economic conditions, including the national debt, tariff war, and potential for currency reset.

I would love the NANO story to end well for all.

Had no Indications of Interest to purchase been received by NANO before end of June would that not have required an RNS to the market to say there was no interest?

If it does, then should it not follow that absence of an RNS means ongoing discussion is taking place with one or more interested parties between now and end of September, assuming no slippage in the timetable.

6% on the day would be fine for me. All eyes on where the Silver (and gold) prices are headed then?

All depends on what the analysts expected in their forecasts of course but my guess is these results are above their expectations and we should be up significantly at open. Dividend hunters will have FRES on their radar too.

Not long to wait for the markets answers now.

The profit and efficiencies highlighted in this Half year report look far better than I expected. Dividend maintained which is arguably over prudent.
