If LG is interested in buying NANO, and considers there to be a high risk of losing the litigation, then NANO must be an equally attractive proposition for other manufacturers too?

Only Samsung has a licence to manufacture CFQD using NANO’s methods, and if CFQD remains the way forward in display (?) then all manufacturers risk being frozen out the latest developments and being placed at significant commercial disadvantage.

I am impressed with the way Dmitry is feeding a dripping roast of good news, to the market which if it continues should prompt an overdue re rating and potentially also competing offers later this year.

As part of his ‘Maybe Putin has been toying with me’ theory, Trump is toying with the idea of 500% tariffs on countries that import Russian oil, most importantly India and China.

Adding fuel to the Tariff wars yes, but if he did so, I don’t suppose it would do BOR and harm at all and move oil prices higher. An interesting space to watch.

I don't think it is the case that we don't have or can't get a backer TGTD, more that whether we appoint one of not is dependent on who (if anyone) wants to bid for us. If it's an infringer then no need for Finance at all, so we can leave that decision for later. Also, as we won the last case we should be able to strike a better deal perhaps?

@Kooba. CCC was involved in the Samsung case as I was attempting to allies in my post but Mintz was the lead firm for litigation.

Perhaps the real value for NANO this time is that LG and potentially others won't be selling many TV's in future unless they win of find a new way to move TV tech on. That potential increases the possibility that they may bid more for us.

Yes. Not that all posters will agree but it was a huge BT blunder not to go to Court. That was many $millions lost for ever and it sets a ceiling for the value we can expect to derive against LG.

We can also deduct the value of patents sold to Samsung and funders fees (if any), which leaves a lot less.

I see from the TNS that we are using, Caldwell, Cassady and Curry, to represent us rather than Mintz.

This law firm has been involved before with Samsung but I would have thought Mintz would have been the obvious choice given the broad knowledge they obtained in the previous case. It would be good to know why the change? Not pleased with aspects of their performance, or linked to the basis of new funding arrangements?

Are we going to fund the initial litigation costs ourselves, and leave the potential purchaser to pick up the ongoing tab having bought the action as an ‘asset’ but at a discounted value?

The possibility of LG buying NANO is the most interesting to me. We are a good fit for them and the sort of Stategic owner Dmitry was talking of in the AGM update.

Unfortunately, BT set the bar in terms of valuations when he ‘caved’ ahead of the Samsung trial. Having said that, NANO has added more value in terms of non-patented discoveries, increased R&D and potential new markets such as LiDAR reflective paint.

A little competition between the likes of LG and Chemical companies might yet reel in a good return for us.

Happier days, and the fact that Dmitry gave no clue in the AGM, when he might have been tempted, indicates he has far better business acumen than Brian.

At the moment 2025 is on target for about five and a half times last years sales and with additional orders ten times in entirely possible for the full calendar year. Success builds success and the US appears to be awakening to both the chemicals and salt content in its food products. Here’s hoping that we are set for exponential growth from here. About time.

Not much new today really, other than a new longer term market in LIDAR reflecting car paint. An interesting idea (and large volumes) but surely every car needs to be coated in this stuff to work effectively :)

We are asked to accept this business sale is complex and place our trust in CDX moving forward diligently, with prospect of a sale at year end. Also, on infringers we shall receive further announcements at the appropriate time ahead of the net actions - no timescale provided.

Dmitry says it is 'quite likely' we shall have a sale by the end of the year but no guarantees of course. I thought it interesting he says the company belongs in the hands of a strategic investor who can fund the future development costs required. Effectively says to me that we can't go it alone, so we appear to need a buyer to avoid a fire sale.

Dmitry suggested that STMicro has not indicated any willingness to return to IR sensors. No surprise there, but it reinforces the view that it is firmly on another track with competing tech.

Did I hear Dmitry say STM had been working on enhancing face recognition for Apple? Think I did but was that every confirmed in public before?

It is more likely that we partner with an American firm gus0 but the climate has changed too and the US is no longer the model of stability it was until recently.
