Lots of sense there Lucky but what perhaps makes the Silver trade different now is that its value in ‘real terms’ per oz has been held down for many years and a good number would say it has been manipulated.

In these circumstances, can we rely on the technicals, when they may reflect false highs and lows over many years and at when supply is severely restricted.

Had we been invested in a commodity like bananas or coffee, would supply and demand not have resulted in the price of our assets having gone up in value even more dramatically than they have in recent times?

My take is that the predictable part is that the shorts are using their deep pockets to bring prices down dramatically.

But does it really make sense that when Silver is in such short supply the price of Silver miners, most of which will be reporting larger profits starting next week, should be going down. Of course not, and the big boys shorting this week are no doubt buying back now and go long in the near future whilst a 50 year depression of the Silver price rebounds.

I do wonder if there is any hope that China’s decision not to export Rate Earths such as Gallium Arsenide might improve NANO’s competitive position for high end SWIR, whee Heatwave products provide an alternative solution?

The ability print semi-conductors sounds helpful but how much is this grant for and why would we not have done it already if it were on the critical path?

Like you, I expect that news (good or bad) must be due very soon. Discussions could be detailed and complicated but where third parties have genuine commercial desire to buy it rarely takes this length of time. Even having news updates on existing and prospective developments would be beneficial, so had there been something to say, I expect it would have been said. The Thursday 8% rise gave the impression of imminent news, so hopefully Dmitry will be speaking soon?

However, if PM declines in value temporarily I'll bet we would find that PI find it very difficult to find PM to buy. It would find its way into the hands of the big players, so safer to hold It now and ride the dip. That also protects against the possibility that FIAT also crashes, or risk that it does not dip at all.

With the FCA and BoE responsible for maintaining orderly markets and with sizeable budgets, why do we have a paper market that is so much larger than the physical one, much of which is short and without real silver backing it? It seems like the perfect formulae for manipulation of PM prices.

‘Organised’ is the certainly the operative word REDINGTONR. Shorters don’t want to pay more than they need to in order to unwind and given that they are large Banks in the main, they have that ability.

A lot depends on what the US wants and my feelings are that they would be quite happy to see European Banks lose big time.

Obviously, I could be wrong but I can’t see what would act to perpetuate that anomaly, unless we had less silver in the ground or there is expectation of political risk?

So very true. When the London markets are open, Silver in particular goes nowhere but down and it has been that way for many year's.

If UK Banks can’t/don’t unwind their current short positions they may face massive losses. Can’t say I feel sorry for them because they have been manipulating the market (and profiting) for years. I don’t want it damaging the already weak UK economy further though.

To my mind, the key factor in determining share price has to be the price of silver, which is moving North quickly and could go much higher. There may be questions about how much Silver FRES has in the ground but it can always acquire other miners. If Silver goes up again then all boats float on a rising tide. We are in the right space at least and good times should be ahead, better than we might expect.

I wonder if Fresnillo has plans to acquire any silver mines? As a large producer they have the financial capability and PM prices make it this a good time to move on potential and proven resources. Buying the right mine(s) is of course another way to increase value.

I listened to Rick Rule today, who said that he had his eye on Oil over the next 2 or three years to outperform.

In particular, he cited Exxon as one of his top choices but there is every chance that BOR assets will do exceptionally well if Rick is correct about a rising market for Oil. Certainly, I would not bet against his judgement.

Did NANO not tell us that offers would be sorted by late Summer? By my reckoning that is by 22 September (Equinox) and also that we hoped to complete by the year end?

I am sure that we would be more than happy to provide. Period of a grace in return for good news but we are to right at the end of that timeframe, so an imminent update appears appropriate.
