It’s a understanding that if all the details of the permit meet the standards required then the BLM acceptable level of signatory will authorise the drill permit and that the Biden directive won’t affect this. Another words the same risk if Biden never existed. We still have to get the approval on the basis we have completed the application and adhered to the covenants correctly.
This is just in whole putting up back to where we were, the risk of the drill at Merlin working or not working remains and that’s really what makes the difference. However had we not had this then the CoS would have been zero

On balance with ASX at $0.01 after the auction the. This should be around 0.56p fair value but accept there is a little wriggle room either side

Sensible realism

00.14 - yeah, you’re being too sensitive... if Merlin works and they stay to test it, it would always be tight to drill harrier too , now its just that little bit tighter...
I think I’ve said I’ve highlighted the positives too therefore I think it’s a bit of sense IBOR realism rather than negative spin.
If Merlin doesn’t work which clearly isn’t my hoped outcome, they will move quickly to harrier and there should be plenty time for that.

00.16 - you’re correct, he did say if they found something compelling they would more than likely make the decision to test appropriately. After that moving to harrier would be time and weather dependant therefore in that scenario the week delay we’ve had would just make that opportunity less likely...but it is what it is. If we have a successful drill at Merlin that’ll still be a great result and allow us to move forward which we desperately need.

Naturally I’m really pleased about this, given the circumstances it’s the best outcome.
As I suspected, DW had little choice but to stop progress awaiting this result so now the spud has been delayed to late feb/early March. So the chances of drilling Merlin and in a success event then having time to drill harrier are more remote.
A shame but this does need to be factored in and unfortunately will may well forego having the synergies of having the snow road and the rig close for the harrier drill. If we don’t get time to drill Harrier and want to go back it’ll be a whole new drill not incremental piece of work.
But still....could have been worse...we’ve still got at least on drill on!

I’m going to wait to see what the drill permit result is and engaged again then. It’s a binary decision that none of use have any form evidence that it’ll go one way or the other so I’m going to remain holding as my opinion is it’ll get signed off given we are ‘in progress’ with the snow road under construction. If it doesn’t then I’ll be wrong and will be happy to say as such plus it’ll raise questions for me about the fairness of the administration going forward.
