Interesting, maybe the MMs couldn't get the shares needed for the OTC (currently at 155m traded) through raising the bid so they've opted for a little bearish shake at 1.85p. I think they might be SOOT...and its just ticked back up. Unless there is something life threatening, why not stick for a few weeks....

12.24 - you may be right. It can be very hard to judge as they seem to, on occasions, have a different way for taking news…a bit more enthusiastic.
What is probably more certain is that over the next 2-3 weeks that expectation and enthusiasm will build. I think the stream of bullish comments from the release last night might over compensation but as you say, who knows and what will be, will be.
Not that worried about a few extra weeks.

11.21 - I think the Market Cap is a better metric. If 2 companies have a market cap of $1m with 1 share in issue or $1m with 1m shares in issue respectively, both companies are valued at $1m...Which is heavier 1 ton of lead or 1 ton of feathers?

11.07 - agreed it needs to be definitive so there is no ambiguity. Be interesting to see a positive ruling plus the Merlin finalise results at materially the same time.

12.26 - I think that the Willow case is important for Peregrine as it at least sets a precedent that a well structured development plan can gain approval in the NPRA (even if that isn't a carte blanche approval). Doesn't seem like the OTC market seem particularly interested in it. Lets see what the result is and then what impact its has.

07.09 - not strictly true. If you buy a WI ( which will be less than 100% and maybe less than 50%) for and amount (which again maybe more than previous $ drill commitments) then then tinge coats will be that if it uncommercial but if it is commercial it’s stays in the ground until there is a plan to develop and extract. If the FO partner wants the asset or the company the market cap will be much higher and it’ll cost them way more. If someone else buys the asset or company then that company is unlikely to spend 100’s of millions and pay 50% of the winnings with no capital commitment from the FO partner. AS in your example the assumption is the fo partner wants the oil not just an increased valuation of their WI…

I’m not sure that’s correct. Why would a US court sit on a Sunday because it’ll be Monday morning in Aus…for a dispute over American law facing an American counterpart? Sounds a bit odd when it’s written down.
I believe it’s 10am Adlai time (I’d suggest that’s the start of proceedings. How long will it take to get a verdict…I’m not sure anyone who isn’t privy to the specific case and an understanding of how the court works will know.
So to answer your question I’d suggest it would be anywhere between 7pm uk Monday evening and 2am uk Tuesday morning with the current time difference of 9 hours and assumes 10am to 5pm court operating hours.
However there is also the question market in my mind as to how any ruling is published and what, if any, delay there may be.
