Placings and RNS cost the company fees, so you really do question if it was worth it. Clearly not got the company's interests in mind though, just the Directors

This is a discussion board where people can talk about potential developments in the company. Debating a possible leak/rns on the back of a flurry of trades is entirely reasonable discussion point. The fact it didn't materialise is neither here nor there. I'm not covering any tracks, I've stated my beliefs beforehand. However, we don't know what is going on in the background so there could be plenty of things in the pipeline we're not aware of. Any potential new investor who invests on the back of someone raising the possibility of an RNS is extremely dumb, I can't imagine anyone doing so.

Where did I say you'd get rich overnight? I've been invested here much longer than most, when it was £3 before the consolidation. What I posted was factually correct, there had been strong buying late in the day which often indicates a potential leak of news. That wasn't forthcoming but I was merely raising the prospect, not suggesting it would actually happen.

I have always said to others to DYOR on here, and have posted transcripts of their webinars where Mark Nichols and Paul Denney presented in September last year so I'd suggest Surfie that you get your facts straight before posting slander

Commercial negotiations/contracts take a long time to agree, particularly when lawyers are involved. Even a simple NDA can take weeks to agree. BD is also very difficult in the pandemic with lockdown. I'm a Head of Biz Devt and it's so quiet because you can't visit clients and build relationships. Zoom/Teams calls can't replace that. People just need a little patience with XSG, I still expect significant developments in 2021, but it may take a couple of quarters. GL

Jefferies suggested Oxford Nanopore could be worth $6bn when it covered it last August but I think it's gained prominence and value since, due to Covid, so your valuation wouldn't surprise me. IP Group SP seems to finally be gaining some traction, nice to see another rise here today

This is now de-risked. The key to unlock the untapped value has been found and this should re-rate massively from here. Been a long time waiting but we’re here guys!

Given GDR’s links already with the US (military contract), the Cytiva and Beckman Coulter connections, together with Budd’s nationality and the general US preference for buying out companies, I do wonder if Genedrive become a takeover target later this year. Hopefully not before we’ve made real headway with sales and the SP being a lot higher than this! It would certainly help us to get onto Nasdaq as first step

I agree on the prospects, but the RNS says the additional number of shares will not exceed 20% of the current company holding...............not that the placing will be at a max 20% discount

I've never come across it before.............it says the price available to the retail investors will be the same as the price offered to ii's (so some comfort) but no decision on what that is...............you're buying blind. I wouldn't be comfortable with this personally
