I'm no chartist, but to me, it looks like VOD has broken away from the 140s and any danger of potentially heading lower. Those who took it on at 145p have already made more than 10%; do people still think there is a margin of safety for those entering here? Atb

Agree, no chance of bust. But if the SP gets under £20, have a feeling that will be the ceiling of the trading range for some time. Atb

The big buy hasn't stoked the share price a bit though - surely should have sent it up.

With you on that Crowman - would be really nice to be able to relax about holding again and your benchmark is about right. The drop in the shorts is a plus as is three blue/green days, back-to-back.

Behaving more like a miner on AIM! Too early to know if this is significant - ever steeper swings feature too in companies in distress as the market struggles to price them to equilibrium. But it could also mark an inflection point for recovery too. I do hope for the latter as my nerves have been frayed by this for months now.

It's dangerous to think that way. Many - me too will have thought the same about it breaking 40p. Then 30p, then 25p, then 20p... The argument only ends at zero; until then it's held up by denial and wishful thinking, and a feature of human psychology whereby a new value is predicted as a +/- proportion to a given value.

Admire your resilience. Aside from the RNS and all other knowns, the steep fall in the SP is itself the cause for concern. It's abnormal and too much; it can't be explained by even the sourest sentiment.

Averaging down in the context of this SP strikes me as reckless. Your decision of course, but could easily be throwing good money after bad. With spare investable cash, you could dilute risk by putting it into something else.

Last time I was down this much on something, it was Victoria Oil & Gas. So the Drapers article seems to have been the cause of today's doom. If this is true, then Debs could be compromised through Christmas, and they cannot afford to have a bad one. It all becomes self-referential but that in itself can provide enough momentum to cause the end.

If I've remembered rightly, repayments of coupons and interest debt was a quite modest £12m or so. Not absolutely crippling. Problem has been margin erosion and the costs of the estate.

Every time I refresh the screen. I wonder if refreshing the screen is causing this? Even the spread is opening up a lot now - way more than 1%. Does not portend well as MMs even now looking uncertain and wanting to control risk. Feel for you Nokesa, takes a lot to bite the bullet. Atb

Of a SP that does this is that it's going to the wall. As a holder, denial is a very persistent and strong force. There are of course counter examples of companies that recover from such lows; my hunch is they are fewer than those that do not.

The collapse of the SP to this level is abnormal - insiders who know the writing is on the wall must now be the most likely explanation.

Anyone know the intraday record? Must be going to trouble it today.
