thing is a divi, even a small one, keeps folk interested and happier to hold when the sp just isnt doing what it should be with an ever increasing capital growth in the sp, just like now,despite almost continual buy backs over years. Not so long back these were e19 remember.

got to say im a little in fexits camp. id like to see a small regular divi, couple of % maybe nothing dramatic like ezj, and a reduced buyback to cover the costs. Reasons being is that it would open this share upto more investors, from looking around the boards its apparant that some people prefer the regular income rather than sp gain and those are excluded from investing in rya, my view is this would satisfy both camps. As for me i tend to favour stocks paying regular divis in the main.

looks like the management are playing hardball with the irish pilots moving those aircraft, cant blame them really, at the end of the day if the pilots/base isnt performing then standard business sense is to review and adapt. Created a nice bounce today so far.

for this company a bl00dy lifetime - and even then they wont tell the shareholders !

billy, old Glenda needs all the help she can get at the moment, will get there in the end im sure but getting a tad fed up of waiting there, need to release some cash. As for oil declining, im not so sure the predictions of impending usage cuts are that accurate. There used to be a time you could make reasonable predictions as to what was going to occur, but recently and certainly since Trump came along the crystal balls have all gone a bit foggy. I also think he'll still be around for a second term.

billy, the pound heading downwards should be adding a fair bit too. Those payments in cents are getting more valuable.

hope so mate, quite a bit down there now so stuck in for the long term. At least bp are fairly static with a smaller range. and of course the superb divi to collect.

i still recon they should of paid mr G using treasury stock transfers, for perhaps a nominal purchase consideration. That way he gets his payment without cash directly leaving the companies coffers. Should he like a normal investor choose to sell his aquired stock later to release the value then thats nothing to do with the business.
