i can tell you it recently cost £14million pounds to fit a scrubber to a reasonably large cross channel ferry to clean up its emissions and allow it to continue to ply its trade across the channel. am not convinced a share buy back will do anything for the sp anyway (although i understand the idea and agree it should therotically). i have a few rya shares and they've been buying back loads of shares for some time now yet the price is just trickling downwards, contarary to its peers, same with lloy. Me personally id prefer a special divi if they have cash to throw around.

am wondering if this sharebuy back plan is just a ruse so they can pay Mr Dan G in treasury stock, rather than cash, to maybe dance around the usa sanctions and come up with some sort of deal to limit the supeona. Just a thought
