Protesters have every right to protest and be concerned with ecological and other considerations affecting their community and landscape BUT they also will seek security of gas supplies and pricing of the same .Many will go home to their gas CH and cookers but I respect not all as gas is not reaching all parts of the Isle of Ireland.The U.K. Is far from ready to rely upon wind and solar for energy needs .Gas will cover the transition from coal and oil.
So as long as we respect the concerns and abide by all regulatory conditions and behave responsibly at all times setting out our position clearly and fairly,we will have no problem..
We have the backing of E.U. And The U.K. government and the project has had significant funding to date with more in the pipeline.(sorry for that !)
if the project falters Ireland's current projected energy needs will struggle to be satisfied in full ..Snip just has to be dualled and the sooner the better ...Remember,folks, the Island of Ireland is at the end of the line literally ..stay calm and encourage the BOD to continue it's respect for those in opposition whilst not faltering with hard graft on the financials and project engineering etc ..not long to go now !!

with Infa is that there are still too many people going around saying "The trouble with Infa...! Yes,folks I have said this before but we now have the makings of a vibrant and viable project one way or the other. GL's departure is really a sideshow. He has performed his role and has other business interests to catch up on.There is NO fallout within the BOD.I am assured.
I am aware of some quite vitriolic comments on social media from the group of protestors some even beyond blatant rudeness..Some postings sadly from our side... Clearly this is understandable perhaps when emotions are high but their right to protest and argue their case has to be respected as long as conducted in a reasonable and constructive manner .The project has been in the making for about 10 years plus now and for the first time all sorts of angles of attack are coming up on a daily basis. JW and JD will be prioritising contact with groups of residents and their views and concerns are of the highest priority and always have been.Our argument for the project is lower and stable gas prices for the Island of Ireland and far better security of supply.
Their argument is fundamentally ecological and should not become personal.Lots to dialogue in the next few weeks !! Hopefully we can discuss issues positively on a none too adversarial basis when more facts are known.

Your assessment is spot on IMHO. GL was parachuted in to turnaround this then failing Company which had lost it's direction and was truly in the Doldrums on it's long hazardous voyage. GL has an excellent track record.He has performed his task and assembled a first class BOD .JW himself is top drawer . A P.A. ( Personal Assistant) and other help is now to hand for him.I am assured that we are still well on track for good news very soon ...patience !!

And JW is a pretty strong character too ..a tough Scot no less ..maybe a clash of views about the direction and extent of the project .I have total confidence in JW as we all should !

ITV news report this evening that there has been an explosion in a cheese factory in Normandy.A police spokesperson reports that there is de Brie all over the place .....I post this news just to cheer two anxious looking Board Members up and get a smile on their faces ..maybe they will do us lot some cheering up themselves ...very soon !!!

Larne Times reports that the East Antrim MLA John Stewart says " there are other locations more suitable not so close to human habitation and less harmful on sea life " Personally I regard the current location as most suitable and geologically proven etc ..have we been told or advised where exactly these "other locations "are ????

Did they actually go inside the Storenergy site ? If presumed so then it's good to see co-operation with the competition.

JFK You are so very correct .I was at the AGM and we met You are spot on the point. it will be much more efficient and cost effective to discharge the brine at sea though..JW is also looking at Salt Trading as a safeguard and is looking into it..he is a Seasoned operator !! sorry .
