A fantastic link,Tony, and JW and AR will like it very much as they visited the site of Storenergy recently and have a good relationship ..remember the shot of their smiling faces over the fence about a month ago .
WOW ..no FIDS re UK Gas Storage since 2008/9 ..since then we have lost Rough and another site is safety suspect ...I would love to know how many days safety net we have now ?
I respect that gas supply to Uk is currently plentiful with U.S. Shale coming in etc....but the world is ever changing ....we don't want the folk of Western Ireland to go without pending renewables being prolific now do we ?!!

Welcome,Leesadee,to this forum.If you are indeed a N.I. or even and Isle Magee resident and not really in favour of the project,it is useful to have your views aired so as to help balance opinions.Perhaps we can have some local residents who support us on the board too.
Usually weekends are quiet here --not this weekend though ..which is good !
Now I may be totally mistaken (and I apologise up front if so) but I thought that dualling of the SNIP was only an issue for a possible increase in size of more than 7 caverns so currently there is unlikely to be a call on N.i. consumers having to bear any cost of such .
The beauty of this project is it's proximity to the SNIP .The SNIP is connected to Gas pipeline network in the Republic of Ireland.The SNIP supplies all of N.I's gas and about 90% of Ireland's gas imports.The balance is supplied by local production ( now declining ) and the two Interconnectors that you have referred to ...so with the significant increase in the roll out of the gas network to the West of Ireland now being planned AND implemented,there is a demand/need for storage both for security of supply and satisfaction of demand -
Using 2-7 caverns as at presently planned ..
Extending the number of caverns and use of the Lough as a complete Energy Hub are Long Term.
In a tightening market there always will be spot shortages .Rough has gone and Groningen Gas Field is just about finished.Hence the investment potential.
We are at the end of the SNIP and there is a sure need for security of supply to the whole Island to have the Gas in store.Hence the reason for the Grants ..after all it is deemed to be a "Project of Common Interest" .
Gas Cookers and Boilers are selling well in County Sligo ,I understand !!

I do recall that the cost of dualling SNIP has been fully allowed for in discussions with the proposed Offtakers and others so that element should not be an issue.I remain very positive about this necessary project for the Island of Ireland and regard June as a pivotal month indeed.There are still some known unknowns still and the BOD are working hard to resolve these.

Well we didn't quite make it today after an early afternoon flurry ..shows what can happen though ...when the news finally comes --looking forward to a "hot" weekend ...and an even hotter BLUE Sky Monday to start the first week of June .Hoping that all your patience will be rewarded ..it's about time now !!

The 2M "sell" this p.m. was a Buy !! I should know --strong positive sentiment and activity at last in expectation..looking for .85p at the close --that would be nice for a "hot" weekend !!

Spot on ...you just try selling a house nowadays ..a lot of tedious paperwork with 60 + many nonsensical questions,ridiculous time scales for Searches etc and sometimes hopeless agents and conveyancers ..oh and surveyors .OK rant over but the point is just so valid ..Spot on again !! Best for one deal if the partner is tip top as we all suspect and hope !! is the case.

I certainly was not aware of the need for any Placement proposed in short term !!

Snowman --I would imagine that JW will bide his time about appointment of new Chairman --when the investment potential is clearer (after the Offtaker is on board and I.D. is made public) he stands a better chance of securing a higher calibre expert to see us forward and promote his vision ! That's my take !

Nearly 35M supposed "Buys" this morning and rising .that IMHO shows great confidence in the BOD after the MM's have dropped the price at start --personally I do not understand the market ---but I very much do understand this amazing project and like many on this platform I have the utmost confidence and faith in our team and BOD ...so there you have it !

Good one,Bradders + Aunty and great to chat at the meeting last night .Like you I was a bit apprehensive before the meeting with the prior announcement of "there being no material news to be made " etc. I came out refreshed despite the slippage in FID dates.
Yes FID is delayed but for 7 caverns this was 2020 ...now it is H2 2019 or probably end of H2 2019 --so in global terms no slippage. Great news also regarding new arrangements with Mutual Energy over the dualling of SNIP .
I specifically asked that all the land deals had been completed and (apart from one where the lambing season was relevant ) all have been concluded.
There is cash in the bank and the cash burn is max at 20-30 Grand per month --we have to repay the Loan to Costain by the earlier of FID or end of year but we have E.U. repayment due and no issues are shown on that.
The Marine Licence issue is NOT a barrier to progress...more dialogue needed with all parties including those that may be disaffected but ALL our tests and models are well within all limits and should satisfy Daera 110%
JW is working hard on the final details of the Offtake Agreement --The delay is due essentially to negotiations now being centered around all 7 caverns which is good news for the share price in the summer but negative for now as today's Aim price shows .
We are a very small operation with the tightest of cost controls and outgoings paired to the minimum -we make much cost effective use of external experts and highly regarded consultants.Decision making is immediate with no committee like structures in place.
JW is doing a fantastic job piecing the jigsaw together and looking at the bigger picture. Arun also has sophisticated technical expertise and is sorting the E.U.mandarins.Judith is hugely proactive with the Island Community -all working their little socks off. Remember folks that we are just a small teeny weeny Company basically with minimal office overheads but with a giant project which has already had millions invested.
Like Bradders and Aunty and others I came out of the meeting positively assured despite the delays to the Offtake deal announcement and to FID but invigorated at the prospect of all 7 caverns now potentially on the role.!!
The market has very little patience -some choppy seas still ahead sadly.But then .................

All under control and still on course with a few refinements by BOD to get best deal from the favoured one .Just cannot see this beauty being sold in the market just yet .. not long now .. honest
