Ben Richardson, CEO at SulNOx, confident they can cost-effectively decarbonise commercial shipping. Watch the video here.
Some good news for the weekend. This now slightly ageing catamaran is owned by Pentland Ferries in the Orkneys and suffered some port bulbous bow damage following a grounding on the Isle of Swona ?? on 5th July.
She is coming into BDD on Monday morning for urgent repairs and it is a credit to the Belfast team that the dock and all required staff have been made ready to accommodate her.
Am on holiday at present and am not able to cut and paste the article from the Pentland Ferries site so if anyone can facilitate and paste the whole article that will make for interesting reading .
Also setting the current blockage of the JR aside for one moment,I.M.’s future grows stronger month by month especially when the need for storage of excess Green Hydrogen ( i.e. that part which exceeds demand from time to time by the Grid ) will soon arise ——I speak here of the exciting Wind Farm developments in the Irish Sea …where the Irish winds blow far more fierce than in the North Sea ——Onwards and ..upwards very soon .Thursday eve should be fun !!!
Correction ..possible apology too !! The “Aurora” ship due on the 13th June is V2GS9 and is a smallish container ship NOT a P&O Cruise Liner …so there you have it. Again Vessel Finder site will confirm details and current location !!Sorry folks !
How many will remember this beauty when she visited the Building Dock a few months ago ? Well “Vessel Finder “ site shows her passing up the Irish Sea this eve past the Isle of a Man and Belfast “ For orders” which means Russia .As mentioned here before she has travelled several times to and from Sabetta in N.Russia to France and on the last voyage to Spain from where she is now sailing .Interesting, as her sister ships (all U.S.A.owned ?) also seem busy on similar trades ..hopefully we were well paid at the time !!
Lottie ..you deserve top spot and a prize for your most instructive and supportive report .I know from others (with whom I am in contact) that you are a genuine and experienced Investor, not in any way a mere Ramper for your own self.
Your posts are well worth the read and after my own intended visit to Belfast next month I only wish /hope that I can emulate and add more positive news to your timely missive bearing in mind the current pool of gloom ,negativity and general antagonism ( not always warranted!!) that persists.
Stokey -correct again ..she is with us for a week to complete repairs to upper bow doors ..not an issue for us !! Just more professional work from an expanding go-ahead customer !!
Amazing that the Queen Vic fits nicely into our smaller dock !! Now need two to fit in the Building Dock ..now that would be a photo shot !
“In OUR main building Dock” -typo correction —There remains a very active trade in oil and gas via sea between Russia and Europe …and one or two arrival over here too !!.Interesting that the Eduard Toll travelled this time via the West coast of Ireland and not through the English Channel as usual ?!!
Remember this interesting beast of a LNG Tanker built in 2017 and American owned + recently in or main building Dock .
Well, according to Vessel Finder she has been merrily travelling to and from Zebrugge and Montoir ( France ) to Sabetta in N. Russia still plying the Gas trade .She is just about to dock back in France after her third voyage —difficult to track as the transponder goes off beyond N. Norway. But Hey Ho, the trades with France continue..probably a matter of contract ?!!!
Consuela ..am still very much here,Matey, avoiding most of the utter clap trap/nonsense on this Board excepting many old timers in particular Lottie ,Stokey, TTNY, Nobby and a few others ( apologies for not being inclusive ) .This is a 5 year project that has been beset by Covid …Opponents ,Bureaucracy and some Gov.inaction —-still 2 years to go but lots to be positive about including the continued present of significant II’s ,a foundation fabrication presence in East Scotland ,potential for Appledore new Builds ,Navantia and Team Resolute in Belfast and even good old Arnish deserves a mention .They are fabricating their backsides off for Methil ..As Lottie and TTNY will say …”Just stay calm and invested “ You will not regret it …in the long term unless Mr P blows us all up beforehand ??
So much utter pure drivel and tosh today !! As Lottie rightly posts “ this is just another storm in a tea cup “ and the Tweet has been responded to so as to clarify and emphasise that H&W do not and have never claimed exclusivity to RNLI repair work .I am informed that RNLI are happy with this.
More seriously the II’s now hold more than 60% of the voting rights here and are fully on board after recent Investor Events and the full take up of the Placement .
This Company IS “going places with JW and AR”….The Company is not going to fail and all of us (and that includes most of the II’s ) will soon start to recover losses…losses being the cause of such emotive postings of late .
Doomongers….please know and note that Methil is poised .It’s a huge yard..all the steel has been delivered,OK it needs treating for oxidisation after incorrect storage in Indonesia apparently ,but as soon as this is sorted ( not at our expense ) real fabrication starts …and the yard is ready and looking in great refurbished state thanks to JW ,William Duff and his wonderful highly experienced team up there. .Belfast is going to be busy busy in December and vibrant/exciting news is awaited ..so there we are ..do have a great POSITIVE THOUGHT weekend and be assured that the Board do value the small investor in the long term just as much as the big boys !! ..Lottie is the poster to read .He or she often says it spot on !!!!
48p without the Licence …rather more now it’s in the bag with so much to look forward to in the jolly old pipeline ……..am surprised that no one has picked up the docking of the good ship MV Donald at Methil ..it has been moored there for a few days now …..reports and photo shots no doubt soon !!
Stokey.. from own sources yesterday but now readily available on Social Media and NI Ferry Site . As you say, the Belfast Harbour Site info only goes to 18th September !!
European Causeway is shown to be coming for another oil change on 23rd September... but is it one of the three beauties scheduled to be keeping us frantically busy in Q4 ?!!!!
We do know, Ban, and your suspicions may well be founded .. the sooner that we can move on to new horizons, the better and to my best knowledge those horizons are easily achievable as long as the Bod receives fair and respectful support !!!!
Like the analogy,Chris .. Saipem is working well though the new crane remains to be named !
There’s every good chance of further follow on contracts to keep the other yards busy
Fingers crossed for another Azura soon .. Great photo opportunity for two beauties in the BD and say a Stena E flexer in the other .. dream on maybe ???
