just too right ,kieran…
we have had a torrid 4-5 year voyage at least for those that invested in im ( that ble**ing hole in the ground near ballylumford ). i for one first invested in 2010 and saw mr po**** come and go and jw and ar arriving on the scene.
it did not take both of them to see that i.m. was then a “one trick pony” and jw “chanced” on h&w ,methil and arnish , appledore and much more ( scillies !!) in order to diversify .
high risk in view of the huge finance costs but with searose secured and refinance due very soon we can at last see land ahead.
i retired from legal practice some years ago now but i always remember that in difficult appeal cases it was best to achieve security for costs at the earliest stage and i understand that we and the department have this in hand .
i am not an expert on litigation but there well may be claims for malicious and vexatious litigation over 3-4 years causing h&w highly significant losses .we shall see.
there is talk about that the appellants are using further delaying tactics just waiting for us to keel over during the current economic troubles …but but we have team resolute and navantia with us ,the current and future !! governments on side ,actual sizeable profitable contacts and transfer of much needed high technology, a dedicated and experienced workforce , 250+ apprentices and sufficient expected dockings throughout the winter ..lots to look forward to.
i expected the sp to rise rather more on friday . sea rose is a cracker after all. as and when refinance is confirmed ,well as k says you will then be singing jw and ar’s praises for “ putting the one trick pony out to the field “ xx
without jw and ar we would still be stuck with that ble**ing hole !! …and the pony !
Forrest ..we need guidance by RNS or otherwise as to the likely timetable ahead in view of the confusion over the last few months ,not just over this last episode. Surely the lawyers can help guide the BOD here ...and quick !!?
On Page 27 if you have a copy ( beneath the cartoon appropriately ) Janice refers to incorrect statements from the Shadow minister for defence procurement about the Navantia Contract saying ".....the Tories awarded a contract to build naval support ships to the Spanish who made the lowest bid"
She goes on "the decision ignored the benefits of keeping well paid defence jobs in mainly deprived areas and taxes to the Treasury etc etc " .I have written to the editor putting him right and quoting from our own factual news release when the contract was announced -Sheer false news and you would expect better from the Times . If anyone can cut and paste , please do so -only the last 3 paragraphs apply ! Jobs ,Jobs, Investment ,Transfer of High-Tech information et etc ,Apprenticeships, Regeneration etc etc all ignored.
Hmm.. Yes, for sure this whole ( or should I say "hole " ) JR episode has indeed "taken the shirt off our backs" for far too long now --the sooner it gets resolved ,the better, allowing JR to announce all the excitement of his bidders for the project --some 5+ years on from when he first came on the scene --not all his fault though !!
We then have refinance deals, SeaRose, "Scilly Boats" and other prospects to salivate over but not counting on Cruise ships !! Crucial weeks ahead folks !!
.................Not deleted but not being an expert in the exercise of Warrants or the like I would like to seek some views here. I just noticed today that last week or so the notified issued Ordinary share capital increased from 172,170,018 to 173,047,211 which is of course about just under 1m shares . Dilution applies !Have a look at the Webby Page under Significant Shareholders.
Not sure if this has been affecting the S.P. of late ,dismal that its performance has been .Comments welcome please !!
Yep --spot on --up far too early to post here --It was indeed Adrian Po**ck ,not Andrew P ...flights from Birmingham on time and visibility should be good when landing at City !! Will be looking down on IM --seem to have lost my capitals as i write ..as well as my marbles !
folks, jfk9 has been around here much longer than many more recent belligerent posters. i recall him at the early meetings with jw and ar in london just after they had been "bussed in " to sort out im after the andrew p's debacle. imho. jfk9 is by no means simply "a failed business consultant" .he is highly knowledgeable about im and worthy of far more respect here !! who here can recall andrew po**** ?! am up early today on a late holiday trip ...to n. ireland !!!
Seena Shah was on ITV News last evening promoting the interests of small builders as spokesperson now for the Federation of Small Builders against the onward creep of ULEZ . She is looking great ..What a loss to us all !!!Try Catchup and see what I mean !
Fair comments both Stokey and LSE03 to a point.
BUT --The JR hearing was in early May and we are not likely to hear the result til mid September ---that's nearly 5 months in fact and before the hearing we suffered delay after procedural delay of about 2 years +.
I thought that the gist of the hearing was all about one prime issue : "Did Poots have authority to do what he did and did he do it in the correct manner ? " We shall see, but I hear fully what you say about "taking time to fully consider the facts and come up with the correct decision etc !!
Storenergy in Cheshire are ramping up proposals for storing Hyrdrogen in their salt caverns in Cheshire .
Have a look at their web site as they are seeking funding. Its exactly the type of plan that we can now move forward on (Subject of course to the interminable JR!) for the Isle Magee project.
It's truly amazing in this country with planning issues, general bureaucracy and folk working from home now that "nothing seems to get done any more". Whilst we have to respect out legal brethren and judicial process it is crazy that the judiciary seem to have no commercial realism whatsoever and just swan off for a 2 month break in the middle of cases and on the other hand the lawyers beaver away and allegedly set up bogus defences hampering all the government's efforts to sort out immigration tangles.
Rant over .Let's just hope that the JR comes out in our favour allowing us to get on with the vital project for once and for all ..otherwise we all may have to remain doomed ...until at least the rewards from FSS finally arrive and "our boat comes in " !!!
Hmm you are sooo right -- you try referring or spelling that very large competitor to B.A.E (and ourselves) and one gets the proverbial ****'s --Adrian Po..."sounds like a dingly dangly item " was also a decent enough chap ..but had to move on when he made some rather non complaint administrative errors .poor chap !!
arun has been with the company along with jw from when they both joined or were parachuted in to sort out infrastrata and the isle magee project following the resignation of adrian po**** in ,i think ,2018 .these two complemented each other well ,jw and his engineering background with b.a.e. and others and arun with his financial clout and expertise via storenergy uk in cheshire.
findingtheta --the post indicates a wish by arun with congratulatory mojos "to share the time to move on with you " or something like that !
but they were once "two men and a dog" working from a very small office and i just wonder that as the company has now grown so fast and vast relatively, is it the tight time to move on or is there some outside influence and pressure ?
a rather strange post showing only half a story leaving us guessing a bit here.?
whatever, i have spoken with arun many times and gotten to know him well .a decent friendly chap who with jw has guided the company over many hurdles ...and for sure there will more a plenty in weeks to come !!
